Forked Tower very unfortunate incident happened and why I'll quit

i checked all the relevant discords except for CBT for this incident, so i have to assume it was with them. and if so, i'm p sure their rules do state that the "core" has precedence? do runs in slimes or RR or lfg or even ocee. youll be fine

first off: communicate. if it was signup and you werent on the roster, thats on you
second off: unsubbing over that is cringe

This is entirely on Square Enix for completely dumping any foresight and prior feedback of BA in the trash, and subsequently managing to come up with a system that is even worse.

sorry but when a content require discord it is failed content no matter what people say it become automatically unfriendly and those are fill with people who will prefer other over some. so for me FT is a failed piece of content it should have been like Castrum in Bozja

did u even read what I wrote? I was in the roster with my name on it, I signed up as soon as they posted the thing and then during the scheduled day I joined the voice call 20 mins prior to the start time, joined the party and then i get told that they are replacing me with someone else and kicks me from the party... and then I asked them in discord they said they replaced me with someone else and there will always be another run...

Sounds like it was more important to the host to disrespect and waste your time so they could slot in a friend.

Today I had an unfortunate event happen to me, I was in a discord where u have to sign up in advance to do FT prog, over the weeks I made it till boss 4 mostly deathless (unless someone in group causes wipes), despite that and signing up early and showing up 20 mins before the specified time, I was removed from party and replaced with someone else... they didnt really give me a valid reason but most likely they replaced me with one of their friend, but yea this community really isn't as welcoming as it was pre endwalker and they only want u in to fill as bodies to reach their goals... and this was the final straw for me so despite me trying hard to fit in and get things done but however this is a very flawed system they made where u have to depend on discords and I hope the game flops harder and goes in the trashbin, I'll definitely be unsubbing once my current sub runs out (I was already unhappy with the state of DRK and I only raided and played for the few friends that still exist inside the game, I mostly only play DRK)

I don't think yoshi p or the devs will grow a brain anytime soon and things will remain stale as is so I am quitting, thank you for reading my rant

should have went to the tp area, if you got in instead, they'd have to invite you or deal with a loss, fuck em.

It is Yoshi Ps Responsibility that this content has been released without any friggen thought about how it would be executed, it is entirely bonkus as it is.

They shoul remove FT, strip all rewards from people who has completed it, re-make and re-make it so it would work the the actual game, it is entirely pointless that you make relic based content and you only favor a small population of players in it, and further more, sick.

While I agree that SE is not responsible for how community-made groups handle who gets to participate in an activity, it is not wrong to call SE out for implementing Forked Tower so lackingly.
- There is no benefit in waiting half an hour for stars (or weather) to align to go into a dungeon
- There is no benefit in farming an item to gain access to a dungeon
- There is no benefit in not being able to just queue into a dungeon

All of the above just raises the barrier of entry, encouraging behavior like the one the OP experienced.

Forked Tower should never have gone live the way it did, and I am confident the majority of the playerbase and developers of FFXIV would agree on that after seeing how it turned out.
