depends on how much focus they put on the story or what type of quests they contain, mainly in WoW playing and leveling together is also encouraged.
Most quests contain kill xx- amount of enemies, which doesnt even exists in FFXIV

The Defias questline from Vanilla WoW in itself is better story, storytelling and pacing than FF14 MSQ from start to end. And that's like 0.1% of the game.
