At the time of the LL there had supposedly been only 400 clears, including reclears, of Forked Tower. It boggles the mind why they would choose something that is cleared less and seen by even less people rather than something accessible that a lot more players could try. Does making it harder and take longer for a small subset of players seem more beneficial than giving a wider variety of players a chance to see the content?

There's some mystery metric they're using here that I cannot comprehend and I really wanna know what it is. I'm enjoying progging in Forked Tower and I look forward to getting a clear but I know I'd prefer more people being able to experience it without all the stress. Just a simple removal of the stupid raise restriction would significantly increase retention rate I think.

The bridge encounter being so oppressive and easy to wipe to if 1 or 2 out of the 48 players isn't on the ball is ridiculous. But that's every fight in FT, especially boss 2. Wiping on the bridge, getting a forced respawn and then a level down? It doesn't take a genius to see why it would dishearten people and make them not want to keep trying. I agree with the mean-spirited nature. Getting slapped with a level down, as easy as it is to get back up to 20, is just that little cherry on top of the downtrodden feeling of a wipe.
