A lot of the lalafell bots seem to be blue mages these days for whatever reason. I flew through Coerthas Central Highlands and almost every other ice sprite was in combat with a blue mage bot directly beneath it underground with a gibberish name and the typical default male plainsfolk appearance.

I had a run in with those alliance bots back before Endwalker had even released so it's really not a new practice, just one that's uncommon because the bots largely try to group with each other but occasionally mess up in a way that causes them to get matched with actual players instead.

At the end of the day I think those early game gil farmers are still less of an issue then the players collecting gil through endgame DoL/H botting and controlling the markets. They'd also be a lot easier to keep in check if the moderation team actually cared.

People have been botting FATEs for a long time, and Variant dungeons as well, to no consequence so long as they're not reported. Same thing for Diadem, Field Operations some specific achievements. Breaking the ToS on a main account harms the game's image more than a few Lalafells glitching off the map, in my opinion.

Sometimes I wonder how much of these "active" players are actually players and not just bots... I see them ALL the time and they even found ways to walk under the map... I've seen a lot of bots in central shroud kill enemies but their attacks are activated from underneath the ground so you can't actually click on them and see their names... but I've seen this happen in a few area's... really annoying... not to mention the amount of undercutter bots on the market that ruin the crafter experience all together... it's litterally a waste of time to craft things nowadays since your price will be undercut every 5 minutes... For years I've had this paranonid thought that maybe SE owns these gil seller bots to earn some money on the side... because I never understood why they didn't just check identities of accounts... Just ask yourself... when you make an account they ask for your IRL information.. and when you pay for your sub they can see who the payment is from. So why not block payments when the identity on the account doesn't match the bank account information?

The lalafells aren’t simply glitching off the map: they’re gold farmers used for RMT. They do far more damage than the guy who is using a bot to farm fates with a single account.

You can see the bots if you target the enemy they are fighting (their name will be on the right at the end of the enemies health bar). You can also see them I found out, if you go to actions and turn on idle camera, there's a chance you'll move the cam to them. I wouldn't be surprised if SE won't take action on the bots because if any pay for subscription (a small cost for what they'll make selling the accounts I imagine) SE probably likes the extra income.

FATEs are a source of gil, though, so the person you mentioned might also be the person RMTing. Doing this with their main account is much worse. Imagine someone starting this game, and seeing people blatantly breaking the ToS in accounts with 5000+ hours of playtime. The Lalafells have nothing to lose.
