Accessibility and Jumping Puzzles. Why Are We Still Doing This?

The fundamental problem is that FFXIV isn't built to be a platformer: The fact that your character can be floating in mid-air and yet be considered "standing" on something is proof enough. I'd also argue that there's there's something lacking in the physics model for movement and jumping.

Did they even get it legit or did they have a buddy rez them up there yet still think they can look down at others for not having it?

If it's a matter of being "legit," then the real question is who's gotten all 80 ARR sightseeing log entries without looking them up and without taking advantage of flying?

I don't want to cancel my sub, but this is the kind of thing that makes me consider it. I've fixated on trying to complete that tower because I want to finish what the game offers me. But the reality is, I probably never will. That's a tough pill to swallow, especially from a game that otherwise does so much right.

If you manage to complete every instanced duty, complete every achievement (some of which take literal years!), and all you have left is the tower in Kugane… I'd say you've conquered more of the theme park than most people even care to try.

I can clear Savage just fine but do not ask me to do the Kugane Tower puzzle, unless you want both of us to be disappointed...

I mean, I've been told if I can do PVP, I should have little problem with attempting Extreme and Savage because its harder to adapt to the chaos of PVP then following the tight script of PVE, but I absolutely can not do any of them while synced.

Let's be honest, whoever told you that was talking out of their backside.

PvP is often about moment-to-moment snap decision making (as snappy as you can be with XIV's jank netcode). Even if you have a starting strategy you often need to adapt to a changing environment since other players can be completely random in what they do.
PvE, at least currently in this game, is about learning an 8+ minute script and then executing it perfectly. Any "adapting" pretty much only happens when something went wrong and often just ends in everyone's death anyway.

Those are two completely different skill sets.

As much as I disagree with the OP this statement is ridiculous. I have failed kugane jump puzzle plenty of times but I've done high end raiding in the past lol I'm really curious which raids have had jumping puzzles :P

I think they are questioning whether a disability can make Kugane Tower impossible, while the person affected by it can still do high-end raids

See... With raids I get better the more I do them.

With jumpl puzzles I get worst the more I do them.

I was doing savage raids up till ShB... but Kugane I gave up for years until a friend offered to rez me to the top. I don't feel like raids take even half as much precision as the jump puzzles. If I see leap of faith in the gold saucer I just nope on out of there.

If you target yourself, you can see that being "on a thing" or not isn't determined by your character's feet but the edge of the target ring.
