this is how every relic weapon is though. it's always just slapped into content they already made or its slapped into old content to give it a small revitalization, it has never added anything to the game.

SB and Shb came out with eureka and bozja. It was tied to that content from the start.
ARR and HW I do agree with you there. I also didn't play back in those expansions so I can't really say what the general sentiment was for those. Although as I recall, ARR did have a couple trials specific to the relic.

The point is simply that older relics had you actually go out and do something specific and different from what you regularly did everyday.

This is not meant to diminish those who liked the EW relics. Just to explain why a lot of people didn't like it. If you liked it, that's awesome, I'm glad for you. I just wish I could have had something to do.

the problem is eureka and bozja had no relic content it just had content and as you did it you got the relic, the relic was just thrown into already made content and called relic content but you didnt go out of your way to get it. this is how every single relic has always been arr/hw was technically the most unique with like the books/maps and by technicality from 1.0 the hydra and chimera since those two were only for relics and nothing else.

honestly i disliked EW relic the most cause it required me to do something else since i don't do dailies or hunt i enjoy'd eureka/bozja relics cause it didnt require any effort myself since just playing the content get me relics.
