Is there any good reason we can't mount in S9?

I love that this game doesn't allow mounts in cities. I'd rather not see ten thousand lunar whales being obnoxious every time I stop in town. The aetheryte network and the sprint change is more than sufficient to get around IMO.

It was never that bad at Idyllshire or Rhalgr's Reach when those were the main tomestone cities. You still see people at Idyllshire as well. They also have the capability to dismount you when you reach a certain section of the city such as the merchant area, because they do it in Labyrinthos when you enter the top secret area. It was really just nice to be able to mount for social reasons - everyone lining up different color extreme mounts for example.
