And then there's absolute bullshit like that one Class A ALC mission that asks for three crafts each requiring you catch a specific fish that is the rarest in a pool of five and can't be helped with Identical Cast or Double/Triple Catch, all on a strict time limit. I've attempted that mission over a dozen times and I've only twice actually ever caught one of the necessary fish, and both times it was with barely enough time left for the single craft that it enabled.
That alc one just wants you to spam ambitious lure to get a much better chance of a large fish then if you get the other large fish that overlaps the one you want to craft with surface slap that fish and use ambitious lure again. If you have the GP you can also use patience to guarantee big fish for anglers art then use big fishing to further increase the chance of getting the fish you want

The fish you want and the fish you surface slap are the only ones that have a big bite so it’s really easy to near guarantee them with ambitious lure
