The suit does hide the tails. It's the pants specifically that do it, a first AFAIK, since tails in the past were mostly hidden by chest pieces or pieces that covered more than one equipment slot.
God I wish we had a dumb little tail tube on the spacesuit. We need more gear that adds something to our tails, or even just has an opening designed for them.
