Players who just grind weekly limit rewards for 1 or 2 weeks those who don't care getting current weekly tomestone or savage raid gear but player who want get current weekly tomestone or savage raid gear will spend like few months to get single gear set.
The reason why many players finds content being boring is because there is pretty much no useful content to do once weekly cap stuff is done and other reason is most content being way too easy.

Given the weekly tomes cap, heavy weekly restriction on savage raids, and the global state of PF (at least on EU DC) where the main issue is dealing with toxic players/prog liars, it's not surprising many people kinda give up and go see if the sky is clearer elsewhere. Raiders with enough determination to keep farming like this are just a pinch in the player pool, many players just don't want to pay a monthly sub for so few contents (and rather bad ones) and to be strained with limits, restrictions and other selfish players

It really doesn't cost that much. If you world visit for cheap prices using World Visit at Limsa you'll find somewhere that has each crafted piece for probably like 100k or 200k. This would make the total cost about 2 million. Plus you can simply get the weekly raid gear from the normal raids instead, for free. You can get the materia currency from fighting hunts making that completely free, and you can pentameld for free if you have the materia by leveling a crafter, made very easy with content such as Cosmic Exploration or Ishgard Restoration. You also don't need to pentameld if you can't.

you love being a white knight don't you? as someone that find crafting boring even 2 Millions is a good amount and on week one it's 17+ most the time so please stop acting like you know everything and normal raids only drops four piece meaning you get one top/legs 2 of the rest or four accessories or a mix to get 3 piece instead but right can't complain without a white knight defending the game problem. if you are happy like that congrats but robbing player shouldn't be a normality

What I said has nothing to do with being a white knight. Almost anyone would disagree with what you said since it's super easy to gear up.

Over the years, I've hardly any gil usually. Just what I get from roulettes, selling materia from Extracting, dungeon loot and hunts, and spending Heliometry on the newest crafting materials. Those crafting materials sell well because they are used to make the new gear. So you profit from the raw materials used to make crafted gear, then you can spend that profit on buying said crafted gear - skipping the step of having to make it yourself. All that does make 2 million decently fast.

No, not week 1. Day 1. Also, the savage raids do not release for a whole week now. Also, I said you can use the World Visit System to get a cheaper price because you can. While some worlds will sell individual gear pieces for 2 million on day 1, others will go lower and sell for 100-300k.

Week 1 (no savage released then). On week 2 you could have 4 accessories, a head and foot piece. You could have Mathematic arms and a Mathematic ring. If you clear the Extreme trial you could get a good weapon. That leaves just the body/legs, which you could buy with gil.
