This all sounds very clever, but one does need to be Lisa Piccirillo to recognize that removing players from ARs increases the average queue time over all raids.Yes because having less people in the roulette forcing it to pop CT would make the other raids faster even if less overall people queued because queueing for the roulette with only CT unlocked is tantamount to sucking 23 other bodies out of the roulette so you’d have to massively decrease the total amount of people to have it be worse for direct queuers of the higher raids
And in order to fix this with algorithm prioritisation they’d have to massively increase the queue length of people who did the right thing and unlocked everything because they would have to sit in a waiting room for the higher roulettes if the algorithm was changed to prioritise the higher roulettes
So if they changed the algorithm you’d just be punishing rouletters that unlocked everything else instead of just forcing people with only CT to unlock everything else
Really it just sounds like spite.
Probably just a tiny bit. Not much of a big deal anyway, better than the alternative of boring CT raid.
CT is so different from the other ARs and the only triplet required for MSQ that I'd move it to MSQ roulette.
Then everyone knows the remaining alliance raid roulette dumps you into a tedious forty-minute visual nightmare.
Until then the gearing trick goes quite far enough in compelling those who have unlocked post-CT ARs to get subjected to that miserable content if they so choose.
That’s the point. If you are queuing for a ROULETTE then you are sacrificing choiceCT is so different from the other ARs and the only triplet required for MSQ that I'd move it to MSQ roulette.

As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
Sure. If I queue for leveling dungeons, rather than choosing one that I like, I am randomly assigned to one I have actually opened.
The parallel to your system would be that anyone who never opened Cutter's Cry, but had finished the MSQ, could only be assigned dungeons below level 38.
That’s not how the levelling roulette works either. And if that’s an attempt at a comparison then no that’s not what I want either. If you don’t unlock cutters cry then you can still direct queue but the levelling roulette locks till you open itSure. And yes the levelling roulette should force you to open the optional dungeons

You have a very authoritarian approach to how others should play the game. That’s not how the levelling roulette works either. Pretty telling of your taste. And don't exaggerate, all alliance raids only took like 20s minutes. 30 minutes at most. Unless it's newer raid where people are still not used to the fights. Then everyone knows the remaining alliance raid roulette dumps you into a tedious forty-minute visual nightmare.

What visual nightmare? Except for last nier raid, they all looks okay
How is it authoritarian to say “you shouldn’t benefit from roulette bonuses if you are intentionally manipulating the roulettes to your own benefit and to the detriment of players that the roulette benefit is actually supposed to help”
To me you just come off as selfish, “I want to get my roulette bonuses but only do braindead content to get them”

Taste? Absolutely. When I discovered people invest huge amounts of time into the PvE in this game I was shocked and stunned.
VFX even on limited are way too flashy. Another taste thing compounded by my vision.
Er, what? I'm participating in the system as it is presented. I'm cunning, but I can't manipulate rules set by the studio. Unless you have some super-secret insider information that, despite how AR roulette is set up, this is not what SE had in mind at all. Although I'm still not sure that would elevate my crime to "manipulation."How is it authoritarian to say “you shouldn’t benefit from roulette bonuses if you are intentionally manipulating the roulettes to your own benefit and to the detriment of players that the roulette benefit is actually supposed to help”

You don't seriously expect me to do Jeuno on cycle do you?
