Adding in my two cents, I played PSO2 and it does take forever for character models to appear. That's due to the amount of data.problem is the amount of data.
If you have for example 5dye slots for each gear,that'll be atleast 2.5times more data each character is going to carry.
If you play games with many customization options you'll know that they tend to struggle loading many players at once.
Like in PSO2 or BDO if you go to big cities other players will be invisible or placeholder model for like 20sec.
Sure it's fun to customize your character to great lengths, but an entire city of just invisible people and nameplates is kind of silly.

I would think this, but I've been waiting ages for them to recycle the Weeping City sets as I have the original, but they've never been dyeable several years later along with like the Cosmos gear.



Yeah there's a lot of great gear that has been lost to the sands of time. Who knows when we'll ever get a chance to revisit them.
