What I find the most appalling is that they can't even be bothered making hats from the store work, it's a whole other level of lazy to not even bother making sure sets that players are forking out already ludicrous amounts of money for are fully equippable. It absolutely needs to be a bigger deal than it is.

I’m thinking of making a mega petition and translate it to Japanese and getting as many signatures as possible. I’ve seen so many post complaining about it but none seem to get a lot of traction.

I would sign a petition, but I wouldn't expect SE to care. I have zero faith in them. I'm being obnoxious about it in the forums because I am vindictive.

Yeah. Aside from the old and valid complaint of no hats yet. They are just making it worse on themselves on not designing the new hats to fit Viera and Hrotgar.

It basically has to be some dev who does it by pure charity at the moment. I feel sorry for console players, but if youre a pc player there is the way of true.. black magic to fix this issue

I tried using this black magic you speak of, but I always hated how careful I had to be when screenshotting gameplay. That, and knowing I wasn't showing off the entirety of my glams to other players was a bummer (I know there's a popular plugin for this, but it's not the same).

Still, I miss playing as a Viera or Hrothgar. :/ I'm not used to being a shorty!

Unless it's the official forums, no one cares what cosmetic sorcery is visible in your screenshots.

I've mentioned it before several times, but the most I would be willing to give them a pass for is anything pre-shadowbringers not working because from Shadowbringers on, they knew these races existed and the work that would need to go into them

Putting it off, to me, seems like it would only increase the backlog of hats they would need to get working
Though I've seen people mention it's the hairstyles themselves and not the hats, but I don't know enough to speak on it with any authority - either way, it's something SE needs to fix
I don't even personally wear hats, so it doesn't affect me all that much, but it would still be nice to have for those that really want the feature

The bare minimum that should work are:
- Shadowbringers and beyond
- Mogstation items
- MSQ related cosmetics, like the imperial helmets you wear to disguise yourself on two different occasions

The mogstation one is especially egregious, because you pay actual money for those items

Also because they aren't available in the Free Trial. Seen a few posts of people who bought the game because they were excited about being these races then turn around and go, "WAIT THEY CAN'T WEAR HATS?"

TBH I'd accept a discounted set w/o the hats for sale. I mean, just a separate listing for everything except hats for outfits should be easier but no.

They can't pick and choose which hats work because the root issue for Viera isn't the hat itself, it's their hair model. For whatever reason their hair isn't built to compress when under a hat and thus any hats that expose the hair will not work. The devs have to address that root cause to solve the problem.
