Yeah you do get that warning later on a few times too, but I think there's only like maybe one or two times it even comes close to being as long as the one at the end of ARR. And with far less boring filler fetch nonsense leading up to it, generally...

As a new player, I personally loved it, it was the finale and didn’t expect anything less, there was gasps, tears and happiness. I feel so involved in the game now I’m really enjoying it. It warned you how long the scene was I made a cup of tea gathered my snacks.
I’m use to MMOs where you literally just click click click through the story.
For the record, the game significantly improves on this aspect. For me, Heavensward felt out of it, but with Stormblood I was hooked, I binged that thing in a week, Shadowbringers is mind-blowingly phenomenal, and Endwalker (I'm on the last stretch of it right now) has been notably amazing at letting you play out those story fights with interesting quests. I do remember thinking in Stormblood and Shadowbringers that I wish ARR and Heavensward made the storytelling perspective just as involved and interesting. For example, they start doing instanced fights with actually interesting gameplay within the cutscenes, rather than the old ARR go mindlessly click 1-2-3 combo on some enemies repeatedly or Heavensward's awesome story being clouded out by the plethora of mindless walking and deliveries feeling more like a 10-minute ad to unlock 5 minutes of story.
The game improves rapidly and significantly. It just has an awful and long start, but skipping the start, you miss out on the important groundwork that they do a good job of pulling from for future stories, so there isn't really a good option. It would be incredibly difficult, but they would have to find a way to make the presentation of at least ARR more interesting WHILE keeping the same story and information
My guy really came to the forums and the first thing they do is necro a thread from 5 years ago.
No one told you to try to save her or heal her, you are a pawn.
Imagine searching the forums for a specific thread from half a decade ago, and responding to it earnestly like the OP is still at that part of the game.
