Knowing what Rabaun is gonna do later, I wouldn't fight back eithet. No one is exempt from karma and karma was at work big time for our little perpetrator.

I remember a sidequest scene in FFT where Mustadio gets killed by Worker 8, and Ramza just shouts "Get the phoenix down!" Mustadio was still alive after. In short, if the plot requires death or a coma, no amount of potions or god level healing will bring them back. XD
Teleporting out would make sense since I remember another group do the same while being confronted by your group.
I enjoyed the movie, and the warning was sufficient enough to prepare me. I've endured longer and more annoying ones in other JRPGs.
Teleportation couldn't work, as it takes time to evoke the required spell, and when you're surrounded by heavily armed troops, any attempt to teleport out would surely be hampered. And remember, aetherytes are always heavily guarded by troops, they'd all be put on alert for the Scions so even if you could have successfully pulled off a teleport, warping in would be basically jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Yeah doing things as a healer can be really head scratching sometimes, especially things like... certain quests wher NPCs die reeeaaaallly slowly and it's like hello? Even on another job I have a job stone in my bag that lets me cast these super neat heals???? Hello?????The part that gets me is doing that all as a healer. Oh no, she took a sip of poison. Esuna? Cure? Resurrection? I mean if that poison is that good why isn’t everyone using it? Also, why the effort to run in the first place, just Aetheryte out of there.
The cutscene length Is crazy though. Like you get the warning and it’s Hah, cool. Then it Just Keeps Going and I mean Damn. Seeing the warning again later triggered ptsd flashbacks (I mean that’s hyperbole but you get what I mean) but they’ve never really lived up to it as much.
Overall that movie was really great though.
Teleporting though is a little trickier. Afaik the WoL probably could have escaped that way, unless there was something keeping them from doing it (or it actually in universe takes time to do I guess)... but iirc most people can't teleport like we can, henceY'shtola's far more dangerous use of the lifestream to escape.

Yeah, I don't care what anyone says.
Raubahn single-handedly makes those cutscenes.
what I tell all New Players... It's ok to purchase the MSQ skip for ARR after you reach the end of the first chapter of the MSQ. That 100 or so quests are totally skippable.
Keep your neck muscles strong. You've got more nodding to do.
Hey you! Yes, you!
