Petition to fix Miqo'te Face 2 Eyebrows

Just wanted to add my support for you all - we're feeling very similar in the Thancred's face thread and wish there were a way we could have more transparency and a better means of communication with the developers.

I hope that the eyebrow issue gets fixed and that you get the characters you remember back <3

Thank you so much! I've supported your thread as well. Just very frustrating to have all feedback and bug reports ignored for months.

There is 1 reason I don't like Miqo'te nor will I ever play until it is fixed:
The eyebrows. All of them.
1. They all look angry
2. they all look pencil sharp or drunken drawn (while thin/normal size appearing, they are sharp drawn/paperthin in other ways or too bushy and retangle)
3. It makes all miqo'te look the same because it doesn't matter what eyebrow option you take, you are always angry

But this is the thing I am truly hoping they can make optional or "correction" or add additional of the same but different in distance:

I would love to have "kind friendly soft brow" even though I do not have a reference, basically at least one eyebrow option that looks "normal/daily"
what makes miqo'te look angry isn't necessarily the shape. As I am writing it, it is all coming back to me. So let me do my best to explain:

The reason lalafell can get away better with less good brows is because there is options in eyebrow with pretty decent distance between the eyes and the eyebrow
Whereas miqo'te eyebrows - while there cold be options to maintain this certain look for miqo'te, I think this problem would be entirely fixed if they lifted the eyebrows
Because of this, it always seems 'angry'. I hope there is a way Miqo'te an get brow lift!!! And some even a bit higher. I like to have my characters with higher eyebrows.
Unfortunately in this case Midlander men have also the issue. While it looks really handsome, I like to also have an option of eyebrow where they are not so close to the eyelids.

(Apologies for the terrible sketch drawing, I had also no pencil to erase mistakes but this is not meant to replicate an exact miqo'te eye or eyebrows, the idea is to explain brow lift makes 'younger/fresher' less 'angry' and 'tense' look
it is also why a lot miqo'te looks the similar in "expression" even if everyone picks random face options, their expression is the same. An eyebrow can really make a difference.
I like miqo'te to look more innocent and less feisty but I do not know if this forum post would agree with my sentiment, but having additional options would avoid conflict of those who like it the way it is...^^;

The issue with these specifically (face 2) is that they messed up the polygons on the end. So instead of going back down and rounding out they go up like Spock from Star Trek. This also breaks multiple cutscenes into looking absolutely ridiculous if your cat ever looks angry. You can see it here clearly (screenshot from today):

As Metool42 said, though, this face's specific eyebrow issue is that, first, the graphics update made them more diagonally slanted than they originally were, losing its curve and neutral angle.

And then second, and in my opinion much worse, they made an adjustment after that while forgetting (or failing to) adjust the texture maps beneath, which caused all this face's eyebrow options to be thin and harsh. This is a clear error, but bug reports have been marked "working as intended" and no changes made in patches, despite feedback.

Just adding my support! I really miss face 2 Miqo, and I'm trying to make it work with big bangs to cover the eyebrows, but she just isn't the same character simply because of the curvature of her eyebrows! It makes me so sad, especially when they say they're adjusting eyebrows and I look forward to it, and they never change for the better.

I literally made a forum account just to show support to this thread & Thancred's face thread. I had better eyebrows in real life when I first started doing them at 13. I thought this would get fixed with the new patch, but it didn't. Again.

Please fix the eyebrows. I thought I finally found my race with Miqo'te. My real-life husband and I met and fell for each other in Final Fantasy XIV, while my character was a Miqo'te. He's moving across an entire continent for me, and I would do the same if needed. The sentimentality I have for this game and character race is now immeasurable due to this. One of the reasons we're not married in-game yet is because I don't want to take wedding screenshots with these brows - they'll probably end up in frames in our living room! I do *want* to stay Miqo'te and have our characters marry, with them being the same as when we met. I'm conflicted because I love my character, but I hate the way her face looks permanently angry now, or like a child drew the brows on with a marker. This is not what I was going for - it's like it's her but not really her anymore, and it's all due to these eyebrows. Words simply cannot express my frustration.

Please, I am resorting to begging, fix our eyebrows.

Still not fixed..........
I've seen how long it takes to fix, it takes under 1 minute to fix this issue if you are even remotely competent (you would be if it was your job), or 5 minutes if you aren't.

How can it still not be fixed?
They didn't even fix the stalker issues, and this is still not fixed nearly a year later?

My friend is still unsubbed because of this...

Sorry to hear, but I also don't blame you. These eyebrows are a bad look for us, and the devs. The sooner they fix this and other unfixed bugs, the better.
