Thancred's new face

Adding my support to this, because they have at least attempted to make the other Scion custom faces look like themselves, but Thancred's is notably off and it really takes me right out of the story when he's in a cutscene now.

Helping this thread up again, because I was rewatching Thancred cutscenes recently and his face still looks so uncanny and wrong! It's not him.
It's been a while since I last saw the thread and came searching for it... it's frustrating that this issue seems to be getting ignored, but I'm glad there's still people talking about.

Bumping this thread again because there have been no mentions of either Thancred's face or the graphical update at all in either Live Letter. I would like some transparency about whether our requests are being heard but I won't give up until this is either addressed, or there is a definitive no.

So in the patch notes today we got mention of the graphical update for the first time - it seems they are still making adjustments to player models (although no details on what they are). NPCs were also mentioned, but again not in any detail - it's good to know they are still working on this, although I suspect this probably refers to NPCs that hadn't yet been updated.

Crossing my fingers for fixes to Thancred, but I'm not going to be overly hopeful here.

In patch 7.0, the graphics of Thancred from Shadowbringers, Endwalker, and Dawntrail were changed, and in patch 7.1, his graphics from A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, and Stormblood were also altered.

However, the only model that has not been changed yet is the Fatebreaker. Not only in the normal and savage Eden’s Rebirth, third tier, but also in the Ultimate Eden, the Fatebreaker model has remained the same as before. A particularly noticeable feature is the plump lips, which were one of the distinctive traits of the old Thancred graphics, and they are still present in Fatebreaker.

However, if our voices have not reached the developers or if no updates are planned for Thancred in the future, I can’t help but imagine that in patch 7.2, the Fatebreaker model might also be changed… and that thought makes me really anxious...

Aymeric, Lyse and Emet-Selch all got really nice updates that respected their original appearances and kept them faithful to their pre-graphical update looks.

Please, Square Enix - don't forget about Thancred. Please treat him with the care he deserves, just like these other characters!

Throwing my hat in the ring to bump it. Probably one of the last things I'll do here, as I am unsubbed and it should be ending soon. The graphical update f**ked up more than it helped. Color me surprised, SE does an "update" that no one asked for or wanted, and all it did was ruin something. Here's to hoping, our boy deserves better.

They are, but the changes are very minor and subtle (which is good - we ideally don't want them to look any different!)

I can see it in the corners of his mouth, for example - but the changes mean that he stays very faithful!

Oh yikes yeah... Aymeric got the weird banana mouth treatment like everyone else... Why'd they make his jaw so... ROUND? No where near as bad as I thought it would be though...

At least he still looks like himself, unlike poor Thancred though.
