    Phys.Ranged still not getting buffed.

    Its no secret that the only purpose of the physical ranged role at this point is the 1% Mainstatbuff.
    Are the 7.2 changes enough to start a triple melee meta and killing the physranged role completely? Its really getting close.
    Physical Ranged as a role needs more impact. Not just the feel of existence for the 1% buff. SE please!

    Don't worry, this is the only callback to Stormblood combat you'll ever get in this game!

    They have finally listened to the masses and brought back Stormblood combat! It's time for triple melee + BLM to sweep the meta again!

    Well... Phew... You know, it's such an inconveniece to design content with phys ranged jobs in mind. Yeah, it's much easier and less time consuming to actually forget them. Let's forget them!

    enochian got a 5% nerf on top of potency changes to deal with the slower casts

    I’ll be very surprised if this isn’t a pretty major nerf for it, PCT seems to be the one who got out unscathed as it only lost its insane scaling in FRU

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    I still have my doubts that phys ranged's gameplay can or will be improved by fight design. I think how the role is designed i.e. no cast times, and no restrictions on range is an inherently flawed design that leads to a role that cannot be challenged by the environments it plays in. I think something like pvp-style walking casts is a solution that will allow phys ranged to be considered in more meaningful balance decisions, and allow it to be challenged by fights like every other role. Gonna need to throw myself at savage before I can provide more detailed feedback however.

    MCH got no buff. Frustrating. Really feels like they don't care for the physical ranged jobs. :C

    what I read as, future fights will be difficult for melee to keep uptime or to do positionals, so we have buffed the potencies to make up for the loss of dps during those instances.

    They say that every patch. They tried to sell that as a reason why the melees did 10% more damage than everyone else in EW despite the bosses having Jupiter sized hitboxes and all mechanics being specifically designed to be resolved with 4 people in melee distance

    Most uptime unfriendly fights in the past were able to be played with full uptime. It depends more on the strats and player than the encounter at this point. SE's excuse to buff melees caters mostly to Johnny Twofinger who cant press buttons.
    The average Viper or Ninja will laugh at the "future fightdesign" and they are still getting buffed.
