Are we going to pretend like FF14 will be this forever bad game always incapable of change?

Based on how they acted for the last few years there isn't much pretending now is there?

The ideas WoW has for player housing didn't just fall out of the sky, they copied their competitor and worked to remove the pain points... you think FF14 won't change? Absurd.

Indeed, they looked at the market, saw the strong suits of competitors and decided to implement it into the game. A strategy 14 should try to adopt once in a while.

At this point one has to wonder whether they even care about FF14 anymore. Their actions and behavior do not fit someone who cares about the longevity and endurance of FF14.

Meanwhile, WoW is trying very hard to get your sub and deliver value. While I personally don't like MMOs in general now, at least I can appreciate that they are trying, hard.

Does it take a disaster and falling off a cliff for FF14 to do the same?

Yoshi is just concerned with making it passable enough that people accept it, Everything else is just . . "Not my problem!"

Yea, he wants it to be the most profitable so the shareholders don't peel him like a cenobite. Gameplay quality is always second to money, and the current content release/maintenance schedule is pretty much optimal money-to-effort.

The start out quite enthusiastic, saving the mess of 1.0 to become ARR required a lot of work and commitment.

Just when the game get bigger and bigger, yet the team don’t get expanded.

More playable races to model, more jobs to balance, more mechanics to add.

From what I read in the forum, not only the dev team didn’t get expand they actually got more projects.

WoW has been going for years, Has no issues constantly adding new mechanics, New options, Updating old systems, Taking content from other games, ETC

It's not a 1.0 issue it's a "I don't feel like putting that effort in" issue, You make hand over fist in revenue from all your options you can afford to innovate.

Also these changes aren't going to happen instantaneous, what we're seeing in WoW is probably because of a response to when all the WoW players migrated to FFxiv and now they're implementing strategies to get them back. It's just the ebb and flow of the market, competition creates better products. Give it time and SE will respond with their own strategies. It's not gonna happen overnight it's a video game and a massive one at that. It's not gonna take a couple of patches to fix everything. Am i saying ffxiv is the most perfect game ever? no i'm hardly done with hw post quests but i'm really enjoying my time so far. Also I don't think dawntrail was supposed to be some revolutionary expansion. From my understanding, endwalker was the end of a huge story arc so where do you even take the story after that?

To be fair how would you know about the flow of the games feedback if you started so recently you are in HW
