I remember getting downvoted to oblivion on the discussion sub on a post shortly after it released where I said 'claiming DT is a success based on the preorder numbers is extremely shortsighted'.

I don't know what happened to that sub but man, it's just full of people trying to one-up you and make dumb thought-terminating cliche quips. That sub is honestly insufferable even when I agree with them. It's just clapback culture central.
That is what they should definitely do.
XIV runs a good engine written upon bad coding, as I understood. XIV also stores a massive amount of useless data on servers which prevent QoL features, the same that are delivered by using plugins.
It’s really a mess.
Nuking the game to build a new one while keeping in mind everything went wrong in this one is not a bad idea…while there is still time.
I mean, the trend is not positive.
8.0 will be a failure as Shit-trail.
Job rework will be what we already know, a not-final dumb homogenisation of all jobs which will continue down that road till the end of time.
Patches cycle won’t change.
The formula will be the same.
IMHO, dropping a an A-bomb on Eorzea would be poetic.

Talking about big changes in a game that still has to run on and support the PS4.

I honestly think they should nuke the current game tbh, Let people keep rare titles, rare (Cosmetic) gear from events & rare mounts / anything from mogstation aswell. That is what they should definitely do.

But nuke everyone back into ARR, The economy is so stagnant nowdays almost everyone has lv 100 and no reason to revisit old recipes. Tons of people have zero reason to do any old content they've farmed all the minions, orchestral rolls, ETC and because of that all the marketable minions & rolls are selling for dirt aside from SHB Onwards stuff.
Way too many abandonware characters exist just clogging up servers, I personally am guilty of this with 4 characters from my PS4 account alone chalk full of items, gear, retainer stuff, achievements, minions, ETC that i'll never use again cause my Steam Account exists.
They recycle old events and most people have already farmed everything in that event 900 times so it's just a middle finger to you constantly, A lot of people have everything in Gold Saucer it's been dying a lot lately because of this (I never liked GS But besides the point)
I'd love to start at 0 with everyone again, Revitalize the world, Cause right now half their playerbase is just perma afk in limsa, gridania or uldah.

I want a PC only version, Console has their own problems and should ALONE suffer with those problems. You don't want problems? Spend the money stop being cheap and build a PC.
TLDR; Sounds like a them / you problem

Surprise to see Stormblood have more player count than HW and DT have more than those two.
I have not finish DT MSQ yet but seeing a lot of feedback about how poor DT written, I am surprised.
But also much fewer new players. I think the reputation of this game has finally caught up with SE.

LMAO
Imagine wanting to gatekeep players like this when the GPU industry is a mess and even old GPUs have skyrocketted in price. Most people aren't well off like you these days.
Hardware limitations really aren't the problem here, limited creativity is.
This isn't an issue like in Heavensward where you couldn't get MP bars in your party list because the useless brick that was the PS3 had only 512mb of RAM combined.
