Key item slots need converted to item space.

Key item slots need converted to item space.

Honestly i've seen some of the other topics brought up and it's the same thing everytime where people act like you're pulling their hair out asking for 20 - 60 more inventory slots. No its not fine, it sucks and you guys need to stop always talking down to us when bringing it up!
NOTHING is lost if we can carry or at least store more stuff - if you dont need that space, fine!
But materia, ANY kind of tokken... dyes... maps... all those alone should not take up space.
At least give us some chest for our room... anything. Im sick of starting a craft and noticing i needed those ingots ive just trashed some week ago... or treasure maps...
But are perfectly happy allowing you to have 100+ more slots per paid retainer cause it inconveniences the user to utilize the storage & requires you to pay extra money, These people are the same ones who make 1 man guilds and just use the FC chest as their extra storage.
Which is another thing, SE can cope with 1 man guilds but can't give you a chest for your home? Or more inventory slots? Cause that's CLEARLY asking too much!
And while we're on the map topic, Retainers are Pay To Win regarding maps. Just list your maps for 500000 and nobody will purchase them allowing you to stack over 100+ maps on retainers if you truly desired, Maps should stack no reason they do not especially when they blatantly offer stackable maps for event reward (15 stones / 1 map)

This is a common misconception. You dont have any "key item slots". The UI element that presents as key item inventory is just displaying items you have the right flags set for(mostly related to quest status). It might look like inventory, but it isnt programmed like it and doesnt function the same.
We aren't even allowed a belt slot anymore because it was too much on SE's system, more inventory space might be a miracle.
Though, I feel you in the full inventory pain. If I am lucky, I have 70 slots open at any given time. I keep telling myself I will organize it, but that day has yet to come.
And every single time I go ocean fishing I am reminded of how little space I have. Would definitely like a bit more space or at least more space in my chocobo saddlebag.
Also, to help with things, I think consumables like food and pots should have their own inventory. Same with fish bait.
And I think extreme trial totems, clusters, etc things that clog up space should be treated like the society tokens and have their own little counter. Back in the day, societies used to give inventory cloggers before SE converted it to a counter in the currency tab instead so it does show that kind of stuff can change.
Even though I try to keep 70% of my invintory empty. When I fish or craft, oh boy. We either need a separate inventory for baits/collectables, or a bigger inventory.
Making items stack to a total of 999 instead of 99 is good. Now can they make collectables of the same collectablity rating stack?
I don't expect them to ever do it, but I'd love if FFXIV had GW2's material storage so you can place things in there and not have to worry about themEven though I try to keep 70% of my invintory empty. The tacklebox also being the bait storage would be nice and reduce a lot of clutter

A dye and materia box would help alot. All the crap we have to trade in should get a special inventory. Seriously what kind of design is it when you do an old raid and get stuck with a bunch of junk if you are the last to leave or needed to step away afk.

That and Dyes! People have been saying this for many years now, but I'll repeat it anyway because this should have been handled years ago: Dyes and Bait need to be placed in their own special tab completely seperate from our inventory, similar to the beast tribe currency being moved from inventory to the currency slot.Even though I try to keep 70% of my invintory empty. When I fish or craft, oh boy. We either need a separate inventory for baits/collectables, or a bigger inventory.

When both Dyes and Bait can take up the whole of not only your entire personal inventory, but also your Chocobo's as well, if you buy every single one of both. Then this is a serious freaking problem that needs to be handled sooner rather than later. Though, let's be honest here. We'll probably have to wait another several years to hear even a mention of this even being thought about. -_-
I mean yeah im overreacting a lot on that topic but it just sucks... whenever ppl cry for mods etc "we" are supposed to cheer for them but when we ask for a few more slots or less items that clutter (like why are there so many materia tokken that should be currency? WHY do we still get materia rewards from quests when there are tokken??) we get eaten alive like we demand the devs firstborn.Honestly i've seen some of the other topics brought up and it's the same thing everytime where people act like you're pulling their hair out asking for 20 - 60 more inventory slots.

About maps though, you can stack 20 on your mailbox, im always doing that lol
THATS actually my biggest problem - fine, let me pay for more storage. But we're hardcapped at 10 retainers...Nothing will be done about inventory space as long as they are selling extra inventory slots via monthly subs for retainers (while putting none of it back into the game). Hence why there is no crafting bag. The sheer fact that we got a glamour dresser to ease our inventory pains is already mind blowing.

There should be at least a different inventory bag for fishing baits or even also for fish. It's such a pain when you want to spend time with fishing and then the bait you need rests on some retainer. There are soooooo many baits that it's not even possible to store them all on the doubled chocobo bag.
And it's no solution to store more of them in the regular inventory, because during fishing this already gets full very fast.
