Square Enix, You ever gunna add more inventory slots?

No its not fine, it sucks and you guys need to stop always talking down to us when bringing it up!

NOTHING is lost if we can carry or at least store more stuff - if you dont need that space, fine!

But materia, ANY kind of tokken... dyes... maps... all those alone should not take up space.

At least give us some chest for our room... anything. Im sick of starting a craft and noticing i needed those ingots ive just trashed some week ago... or treasure maps...

We do have a chest in our room. Two of them, in the form of retainers. Plus the Chocobo Saddlebag. Plus the company chest, if you're in an FC. Plus the storeroom for housing items. You can offload things you don't need via the market board, vendors or the discard button.

And technically, unnecessary expansion of the inventory size does cost server space and development time which could be better used for adding more housing wards, furnishing capacity, glamour plates, glamour dresser space, and other more important things. Our feedback should be focused on those higher priority issues first and foremost, in my opinion.

I will say though, a separate dye inventory in the glamour dresser would be nice.

Agreed and I just have the 2 retainers, I'd appreciate it if you had just 1 more for free too.

I spend most of my time collecting glams and it used to be great, now we had the dresser, but I realize I have only 200 slots left, meaning every new item I pick up I struggle to consider it worth taking up space or not. Also, I can't bring myself to collect hats since I can't wear them and it feels like a waste of gil to get them just to create full sets for space when I know it'll remove rare dyes too.

How dare you ask Square Enix to invest more resources into upgrading their servers!

Inventory Space is probably hard coded into the fabric of spacetime iteself, so increasing the number of it would create a black hole and swallow our galaxy.

But lets copy and paste another 200 or 300 crafting materials for the next expansion, again.

They need to make dyes and glams be permanent in a collection so you can retrieve them whenever you want like WoW does. This would free up hundreds of slots since my retainers are full of dye and glams. Housing furnishing also needs to be like Island Sanctuary where you only need one of the furnishings that could be duplicated.

Probably due to being tied to the zone similar like the Island Sanctuary - You never have the materials you gather and make assigned on your character inventory, but just as a static listup in a UI.

That's the way I read it. We're getting a Cosmiventory or whatever they end up calling it like we got an Isleventory.

Nothing will be done about inventory space as long as they are selling extra inventory slots via monthly subs for retainers (while putting none of it back into the game). Hence why there is no crafting bag. The sheer fact that we got a glamour dresser to ease our inventory pains is already mind blowing.

I'm just hoping we get lots more of those consolidated "outfits" to put in the glamour dresser. If they really can't give us more inventory in other forms then that's going to make it all pack down a lot tighter.

A third free retainer would be the very easy route for expanding everyone's inventory, but I'm not going to hold my breath for that.

Those outfits are really nice. I hope they expand on that. I'd even go hunt down missing pieces I don't keep around just so I could store the rest that I would use compactly like that.

An addition to the saddlebag might work for more inventory. Then it won't make the "everything open" option in the inventory UI off kilter or require opening a different window if it was a new type of inventory.

Wasn't the last time our personal inventory updated in Stormblood? Unfortunately, unless it's linked to some tacked on price gouging feature like the extra chocobo saddle room in exchange for getting the premium moogle tomestone app. Then I doubt we'll ever see our personal inventory reach past 140. :<
