Hey you were in that video with those guys! Have you decided to drop the war or bard in place for something else yet?

We're using the other WAR as melee DPS/off tank for her clones, so we probably won't be having Sirius Taco change classes for now. As for the BRD we'll be swapping out for a DRG most likely tomorrow, today we just wanted to book a couple more wins.

Did you have both bards focusing Garudra then? Because that 2nd wars dps on Garuda is just pitiful due to the time spent CCing the plumes. And I was thinking of a 3rd bard in place of the war with some well placed wide vollys the 3 bards can take down most of the 3 waves and just light shot down the remainders along with a well placed SS by the War. Also the added range leads to less idle running time thus increasing total dps.

Brd's and Dps war were focused on adds and 3 blm's full time on garuda.

Brd's dps is pretty good in phase 1 yes but in phase 3 it becomes very bad as richard pointed out since its very hard to get range to actually combo as brd in phase 3, so although they might be slightly better in phase 1 than a dragoon for example (and its a very very slight difference) they actually drop way behind dragoon in phase 3.

This can cause problems with killing suprana (melee weak clone) as the brd's just cant output their maximum dps due to not being able to combo properly, which not only means more damage on the tanks+group overall but also less damage uptime on garuda because your dps spend so long killing the adds.

As we already pointed out we used the setup because it worked for us and although it wasn't the fastest or most controlled way to do the fight it suited our style of play.

I really don't get the whinging about class stacking with this one. Firstly the two WARS, well one is tank because PLD is broken so I can't call this stacking. BLM's, one of the adds is resistant to physical damage and we dont exactly have many mage classes to choose from so a couple of BLM seem pretty mandatory.
When it comes to the two bards you used, well you say yourselves you think one different mellee would be better. So presumably you're playing with the extra bard because you want to not because it is best in slot.
Using a class because you want to rather than because it's best for the task??? Aren't you kinda doing exactly what people think class stacking prevents there?

No, your fun is invalid if you stacks more than 2 ranged attacker according to some people. To hell with you and what you want.

I'm pretty sure you can do this with less ranged too tho. Positioning is the key to succes when you want to use more close range DDs. Just fight Garuda with the team you're most confortable with. I think almost every combo can succeed Garuda eventually. Just need some good teamwork.
