Precisely this. Which is not only embarrassing, it counters the trend to-date in the story of replacing autocrats and class stratification with more egalitarian systems of government.

I loved the summary that DT is being on a boat minding an idiot, but DT is also "The WoL helps a nepo baby take control of an absolute monarchy, using a bizarre ritual dreamt up by the dead half of a large lizard."

Somehow... TWO Sphenes returned. Take that Star Wars, I honestly can't wait for the Zenos 2nd resurrection and Garlemald forgiving him out of nowhere because the plot demands it, along with the Scions.

Not really, although Encyclopedia Eorzea says this:
"While some regions are still inhospitable today (byproduct of the the Allagan Empire invasion), those that have been repopulated remain isolated and hardly ever welcome interaction with northern hemisphere civilizations, frequently fighting anybody who comes close by land or water. Due to this, virtually little is known about the area, not even the most fundamental geographic details."

I hope he meant more HW than just winter… I really want to go to Meracydia and have another dragon focused expansion! But it’s probably more Australia like, from what others have said. Not that a fantasy world necessarily needs to correlate to the real world. lol
