I bet it's creatively a really stiffling place to work at anyway, I bet Yoshi runs a super tight ship with his formula and barely allows anything through the cracks-... Though I am 100% sure he did not play through nor really check through Dawntrail himself, so I guess that might've gotten through. Japanese have this weird habit of making everyone talented into supervisors and hiring some nobodies to take up their mantle.

Kinda ironic they have "creative" in their name, when they seem to be rigid as all seven hells and Japanese business rigid cultured af.

To be fair talking from personal experience in the industry here, it's a bit like the opposite of what I've been used to in western companies, where supervisors will always be producers and people with literally no training nor qualifications for the actual creativity of the jobs they supervise, are literally overpaid clueless buffoons that should have no business taking creative decisions, and when you get one manager that actually comes from your background it's such a breath of fresh air that it doesn't even begin to compare.

The problem I can imagine in the case of CBU3 is the lack of suitable replacements when promotion happens and the lack of actual supervision of the new talent, if anything, but I could be wrong, I don't exactly work in their building.

They recruit scenario writers regularly too.

That was not mentioned, but it is obvious they will be working on content for Dawntrail and after since they don't go back in time and work on past expansions.

The example quest they have to write is the same example quest given in all previous versions of this job that were advertised for years. They recruit scenario writers frequently. You can see this via archive.org (for as long as that website exists).

"The main task is to write scenarios for new content added for each patch" - content could be anything, but it's unlikely they'd put a new employee straight onto the MSQ without letting them work on sidequests first.

It really wouldn't be difficult to fight any writers to beat out DT story.
