Its about your sentence "and far smaller to the point where they were only releasing one new piece of MSQ content, worth about 45 minutes of game time, every four or five months. " because this is exactly what we have currently in a 2 1/2 year cyclus we get 3 savages tiers which usually require more time thats true and 2 ultimates the same for it, but otherwise we literally get every 4 1/2 months content for 30min and thats it

There literally are gacha items on the SE store, you can buy some merch that costs (IIRC) 60€+ and is a RANDOM item out of 10 of them that are available.

Also the game is riddled with RMT and carries because content in this game has absolutely 0 value, in a game like WoW carries are over a thousand for one mythic full clear, in FFXIV, we are at 0.5% of that amount, if even that, because the content is just this mediocre.

Also let me laugh about the story argument, we literally just got a camera patch (funnily enough same as WoW when it was at its worst...), the rest of the content was done in less than a week IF you are slow to do it.

FYI, someone calculated how much is on the mog station once and it was valued at about 4350€ if I remember correctly, so yeah. You dont need a weapon to be absolutely OP and only from the shop for the game to show what you're talking about, and the only reason that doesnt happen is because stats have absolutely 0 meaning in this game, the upgrade in stats from a lower ilevel piece and a higher ilevel piece is down in the 0.01%'s.

As the previous poster said though, you literally described our content cycle and said "yeah that game is terrible" talking about another game, but you didnt look at the one we're playing, because that's quite literally what FFXIV is, 4 to 5 months long content cycle with less and less over time, that barely last a day (or a week if you're slow and have a very busy schedule)
