They probably didn't see you do it. When you do your rotation, you don't necessarily have time to hold your finger back when you see the ‘sleep’ status displayed on the mob. Their fault? Partly.

While I agree to a point. It was lvl 38 content, so hitting 2 buttons isn't really that intensive. Also, they had to double back and intentionally attack mobs that were slept and left behind. And even in lvl 100 content, you need to have at least a small amount of awareness of the battlefield and where and what all your party members are doing. Rotations are not that difficult in this game, esp for picto or viper esp at 38, so that is really reaching for an excuse. Not to mention those sorts of excuses is why players in general feel they are allowed to play so poorly.

It was just funny that the tank immediately went to "go back to WoW!" like some sort of ffxiv meme lol. Like I said, it took 15 years to happen and it was funny.

Joined a P4S unsynced group that spent 10 minutes deliberating over the one mechanic that has to be resolved (which are just towers) followed by 8 "missed my tower XD" wipes. Plenty of staring at the boss after each wipe with no discussion, pointless ready checks, and a Dancer popping Standard Finish prepull--yes, Finish, not Step.

And apparently all that deliberating still wasn't enough because someone's marker layout being different from the prep layout led to confusion, even though the markers are in the same place and it obviously didn't make a difference because it wasn't the problem.

It's hard not to see why Crystal gets such a bad rap.

Healer couple in M3 with two new DPS. Healers die to Lariat Combo, RDM at half HP and 1 stack (boss is at 35%) narrowly survives a raid-wide thanks to tank LB2. Healers do not accept raises, wiping the raid and leaving.

Obviously this pair came off as trollish, so lo and behold:

Healer shortage is real too. Lot of 7/8 parties with a WHM. It's like the 2012 NFL replacement refs.

The Dark Inside (Normal) on Roulette.

Gods it was hard work! Team consisted of PLD, DRK, WHM, SGE (me), DNC, VPR, SAM, PCT.

Now, I'll note I'm not a good player by any stretch of the imagination. I'm the 'barely adequate' type who struggles, sticks to Normal content (as not good enough for Savage/Extreme), feels like a burden to team I'm in most of the time and just scrape by.
Anyway - this run made me realise that there is always someone worse! Namely the Viper in the team, who repeatedly died to just about every mechanic and myself and the WHM spent a LOT of the instance reviving him only for him to die again almost immediately afterward.

The team wiped four times. First attempt was a straightforward fail.

On attempt #2 the Picto uses LBIII whilst Zodiark was on 1/4 health. Needless to say it didn't do much. Viper predictably dies for the umpteenth time following this. Sadly the Tanks both died shortly after this and whilst myself and the WHM tried to rescue the run we didn't survive Zodiark giving us increased attention.

At this point I suggested that we should keep the LBIII next time, as the team was clearly struggling and might be beneficial having Healer LBIII to fall back on should it be required - the PLD agreed with me.

Attempt #3: Another wipe, although we did get close this time - I managed to get distracted trying to raise the Floor-Viper again. Viper was AFK for a lot of this attempt - the DRK pointed this out, and about a minute later the VPR replies in chat, claiming someone knocked their door IRL.

Attempt #4: We finally finished it - no thanks to the Viper who, during one of their rare moments of being upright, used LBIII as soon as the bar filled, to little benefit, and promptly died again afterward. WHM raised him one more time. He was knocked off the platform shortly afterward and neither me nor the WHM bothered to raise him again as there didn't seem much point and our efforts were better directed healing the rest of the team.

Anyway - big thanks to everyone else on the team for persisting, particularly the WHM - we worked our arses off healing that team!

I'm on chaos so it was probably not the same person but I saw a viper recently in copied factory who was pretty much like that.

I gave them a comm because I don't play a healer and players who die are funny

I think this is pretty common occurrence in P4S unsync PFs that I joined in Aether as well.

Most players that joins these parties, as far as I can observe, they seemed to be joining under an impression that they can faceroll, ignore mechanics, and get their loots.

And no, not even placing waymarks & explaining helps these players most of the times. They will fumble around not knowing where to go then either miss their own tower or take the one that’s closest to wherever they’re at.

Assuming all of that is done proper, you’d think you’ll get the clear? Nah. This floor has been farmed to oblivion in unsync since DT launch with 1T/7D compo. But to do this, you need people who press their buttons. Ah yes, that is what’s missing most of the time. Or, people insists bringing a healer instead of tank, or god forbid the dreaded 1T/1H/6D compo. No we don’t need to learn Act.2 mech either... Don’t overcomplicate stuffs… Just… do… -tower- proper and don’t stand on bads… and press your buttons—

So today I queued for MSQ roulette. I go in as tank. I get Praetorium. I get a group comprised of a White Mage, a Samurai, and a Dancer.

Everything goes about how you'd expect it. During the first boss fight, the Dancer notices the White Mage is just healing. So we kill the boss. It goes on, and we get to Nero, and the White Mage is still just healing. So the Dancer chims in again and nothing.

After that, there's the infamous elevator cutscene, and I use the auto translation feature to make it easier for the White Mage to understand what they should be doing. I was very nice and respectful about it. I understand, and honestly, it doesn't bother me one way or the other, but it is a bad habit to break. He finally speaks and tells me that he can play however he wants and proceeds to tell me he's ignoring me. Now I've really honestly done nothing to him. If anything, he should be mad at the Dancer. The Dancer got on his case 2 times. And I wasn't being rude about it.

So we get to the last boss fight, and he refuses to heal me, and I just finally lose my cool and tell him "Well now you've chosen to get kicked." Group wipes. Guy gets kicked. Replace the healer profit.

I hate that it ended up that way. I am the least min max gotta go fast person on Earth. I honestly didn't care that my roulette was running long. I honestly only chimed in because I thought the Dancer wasn't going to let it go, so I'd explain it better, and we'd carry on into the sunset. But here we are.

Jokes aside---I mean, if it's not happening over here, it would happen somewhere else... i.e. reddit, twitter, etc.

Heck, if you think in-game are free from such grievances, you'd be surprised how some people are apparently expressing similar degree of grievances (you know, normal human behavior?) in spaces like close-knitted CWLS, harmlessly.
