They said their dev team is working to give the viera a high amount of customization and that their long ears require them to make some changes to how helmets work, and that information to how that'd work will be shared later. Did they not reveal how it'd work later? Because I'll take your word for it. Just saying I think we've seen how it's working thus far.

I assume that having it as an emote is functionally impossible – equipped hats are in a fixed position on the head and the hair that would be under the hat is altered or gone. Zero's animation is done from an angle where this wouldn't be a problem, and/or is likely not actually an equipped hat but a free-floating one that can move.

This stuff has ALWAYS been on the store.
The problem is awful value for sub.
Then you add insult to that injury with the recent much cried for Hilda haircut going into store,
and now this, which always was a black mark, but where as previously there were lots of positive marks, all we have to look at is this black mark, and now what was bearable, no longer is.
If they want to maximise the store potential, they need to invest in the sub value as the store's multiplier.

When I used to rarely use the store I was always very happy to because I was getting great value for my sub when I was playing catch-up, and I had lots of friends still in the game.
It felt like giving SQX a well deserved tip.
Now I'm not so much boycotting the store, but I just don't give a shyte enough to want anything in the store. Since re-subbing and all the 3rd party glam add-ons, I can't even be bothered to glam my character anymore. Just whatever I auto equip.

What surprises me is people continuing to complain npc gear is on mog store when they never have put it anywhere else

Every item on the Mogstation is something SE stole from us who pay a monthly sub.
