Anyway to stop hotbar changing when wearing wings?

Is there a setting to stop the hotbar from changing when wearing wings? It's extremely annoying when the hotbar changes after a few seconds and I have missed rotations and more because of it during combat or missed hitting an A or S rank hunt because it changed at the worse time and it was killed so fast.


The same applies to mounts that lead to extremely annoying situations of missing hitting an A or S rank hunt that was killed too fast because I couldn't get off my mount in a hurry to land a hit because my hotbar changed. It's worse when getting off a mount and you're wearing wings.

Sometimes, getting off a mount takes too long but usually it's either because it's been pulled before you reached it or because you're too high up and it takes time to land. Rarely, the button that dismounts can just not register and you discover this too late. It may help to know that you can dismount using any button that calls a mount. You can also dismount with Z.

I didn't know that the game reapplied wings after dismounting, but it seems that it does (and this process seems to have a delay). You can solve it two ways:

• Unsheathe weapon.
• Type /characterconfig and adjust the settings here:

Another option is to hunt on a different day than Tuesday (reset day) or weekends (because people are not working), or when people are sleeping, if this is possible, because it's usually less busy if you don't play when everyone else does.

Looked it up for you - apparently, the setting is found under

Character Configuration > Hotbar Settings > Display > scroll down all the way to Pet Hotbar Display Settings
Character Configuration > Hotbar Settings > Cross > unselect "Automatically replace cross hotbar with pet hotbar"

I also do hunts daily because I'm working towards the 10k A rank and 5k S rank achievements for both my catgirl mains :3


The reason why the changing hotbar annoyed me is because the pet hotbar can't be customized so it's more of twitch reaction of pressing the button to dismount or use an ability but it does nothing and I then have to scramble to cycle the hotbar to dismount and attack in a hurry.
