The arcadion story is so good, and is a solid proof that you can write an engaging conflict in this world without always bringing a world ending threat to the mix. I'm actually very invested in the story, and looking forward to what the next episode will bring.
You open the door theres nothing in sight. You close the door wondering whats in sight. But lets be honest its probably gonna just let you down.
As Zakuyia said, what was the Allagan Empire? You can't compare the smoothness of introduction of technology in the former FF's to the blunt way that XIV does it.
Everyone and their uncle knows scifi and tech exists in FF, but they don't think at all about the world building consequences when they introduce it in XIV, they just do it because "Its cool".
-Insert Seymour meme here-
Are we the bad guys? No . . It's the fans with their unrealistic expectations!
I still think we're all being fooled. At the end of the add-on it turns out that Wuk is actually the bad guy and the final trail will be to chase that stupid Mary Sue where she belongs.
Funnily enough, I think the mere announcement of being able to finaly beat her would immediately restore the number of players.
I mean... if you were to encounter a character like that in a game where you really had the choice of whether you wanted to take the character with you or not, Wuk would be the character that only hardcore fans would take into group to unlock the last achievement...
