EDIT: Ppl are just jelly lol, dont even bother responding to them anymore. After gettign quite a few cracks at hard garuda I have to say that shit is hard. It really does require a lot of teamwork, and I was in a pug. Farthest ive gotten is the 2hr that one-shots me for 9999. But since ive had some time to try and figure it out for myself ima study some videos to see what im missing.

I feel like I know it in theory but in practice its not working out.

I heard someone mention Aura Pulse as a good potential way to take down the adds. Is this factual?

Can't see why it wouldn't work. With a 40 second CD, it should be available every time you see plumes. However, you might run into issues with needing to AoE twice during the third plume wave in phase 1.

edit: unless you save Keen Flurry for Aura Pulse, but then you lose out on the single-target DPS benefit from using it with Howling Fist or another WS

Any good aoe will pwn them. On DRG I can just about one-shot them with ring of talons. If i actually bothered to meld gear i *could* one-shot them but right now im in AF and ifrits harpoon so...yeah lol

Fists of flame is magic dmg, so it should reduce your dmg by about 4/5ths on plumes. However you can turn it off for aura pulse.

I think our fastest kills have been around the 5:00~5:30 mark, and we speculate that we could do better with a DRG in place of the 2nd BRD, as long as our BLMs gear accordingly. MNK still probably has the highest single-target DPS ceiling, but it also has the commensurately highest skill ceiling (more positional requirements) and less on-demand AoE than DRG.
