It is both lazy and desperate.

Desperate because it's a minimal effort implementation on a hairstyle that has been requested for well over a decade, with the only goal of really milking more money out of you.

For a little bit I hoped it would be the exclusive reward for the mogtome event of 7.1. Seen how this was anticipated, even with twice or thrice the usual price, people would have farmed the hell out of it, and they could still have sold it later. But I guess incentives to play the game are a no go, only mogstation matter.
