I hope so! Doma and Kugane need to be overrun with Viper players dual katana dabbing on their sad single sword Samurai counterparts!!!

Same goes for the army of Lala Dwarves (and that one male Roe Chad dressed in Dwarven gear) whom will instant spawn in Tomra and Komra on the First with their newly minted dual axes!!!! OH. And Limsa, too. But that's mostly for the Miqo'te, Viera and Hrothgar in nothing but 2B leggings.

Not sure why youde wanna drown out the ppl unhappy with viper simplification but feel free to try. There's a lot of us and for some reason the devs do appear to listen to you guys more.

Also it's been 10 years since arr. The game has never allowed for alternative weapons.. unless u count the wands that were quickly removed

DRK has a katana (nodachi, whatever) Odenta Kai

Also a scythe and a club and WAR has a hammer and MNK has all sorts of weapons.

So yes, getting dual katanas for Viper is absolutely reasonable.

Besides those examples, BRD has even had a few crossbows.

PLD has a macahuitl (Meso-American wooden club with sharp obsidian shards embedded in the wood)

Ninja has had western-inspired daggers and knives as well as Middle-Eastern-looking blades and cleavers. Similarly, Samurai has a few European swords.

And that's not getting into figmental weapons giving most jobs something completely different.


Not sure at all how getting a katana for viper is outside the realm of possibility.

I wish the odds of Square adding hats for Viera/Hroth versus adding slightly curved swords to VPR were the same...
