OK first to answer your post. When a job is made the weapons for that job are all you get. This is how ffxivs job system works.. it may change one day but it's unlikely. If you did see twin hammers it would prolly be on judge job.

As a viper player. What viper is missing is any real sense of job identity... its a snake that uses no venom.. no paralysis and no dot of any kind.. its a milk snake. The references to vipers themselves are weak and job feels more like kirito than a cool hunting job. The scouting element is so nonexistent that it feels like the whole job was put there just to fill that slot out. The job is fun.. but it's not fun for the right reasons.

If I'm gona play a job that feels like a coiled cobra ready to strike.. where is venom? Where is the power.. the hits feel feathery and have no weight to them. Viper feels too lean and the generation combo just looks silly. The glaive combo is much more satisfying to use.. but sadly.. the glaive element of this job.. one of its coolest things... is hardly utilized.. viper really is lacking some job identity. In chinese martial arts the 'snake" stance is about fast and lethal strikes and is 1 of the most dangerous stances to fight.. so the idea of turning a snake into a fighting style isn't even bad.. but se doesn't seam to utilise viper to its potential

Now contrast that against my main, reaper.. and u can see the job identity in everything it does.. even dd giving u soul gauge when enemies die is a great little attention to detail. The viper used to have fangs but they removed them. Also the black mamba is my favourite snake and not a single reference to it *sigh*
