When those waves of plumes come right before 2 hour do we need to kill as many as possible before 2 hour in order to resist 2 hour? Or is it more important to keep those pillars up to absorb 2 hour?

more pillars you have up the less incoming damage you take. Kind of like the opposite of how Nails worked at Ifrit.
