Solo duties are amongst the easiest battle content in the game, if you struggle with those, you should really think about what you are doing wrong to fail so spectacularly.
Maybe consider playing a tank, then it doesnt even matter much if you get hit or not.

huh? she got like 4 or 5 buttons, and you are overwhelmed by that?

have you considered watching a video and see what you are doing wrong?

i personaly am not a big fan of these kind of battles, where you control another character. But i always look at the skills and read the tooltips before i jump into battle, maybe you dont? The only one i failed was the Hien VS Zenos batle, because i actually tried to beat Zenos, which didn't work obviously.
