Along the same lines, I'm noticing how many players who "really really loved their characters look post-update" and how they "looked better than ever", completely gave up on their character of multiple years and fantasia'd

This is such an unhinged take. We were given 2 free fantasias recently and you're really trying to argue that people using them means they were secretly unhappy with the update to their character?

Some people don't have an unhealthy attachment to their character, and as well as being able to cope with miniscule changes in their appearance without having a meltdown, they're also able try out playing as a new character when given the opportunity to do so for free.

Eh...it depends on the face and the race. To this day, I was say more angular faces won out with the changes. Rounder faces don't like the new lighting, though.

Also the lighting from housing is sometimes *bad*. That weird, almost segmented lighting glitch in particular.
