Drip feeding contents only makes the announcement page look more 'active'. It may look fine to outsiders cause it might make them think "oh the dev care about this game regularly". It also funnels more players into whichever content they decide to release at XYZ schedules, thus masking these players from thinking how empty to places of activities are compared to the barren plains just outside the settlements 100y away. At least on paper, that is.

Of course, dropping us all the content at 7.1 wouldn't fix the lull that follows after either. At the end of the day their decision to drip feed us the content feels like one of those "all flashes no substances"-kind of decision.

when was the last time they released so much at one time that people got overwhelmed?

Since that is effectively like Duty Support content because you can do it alone.

What content did they add since shadowbringers that you can be overwhelmed by? Bozja patches were the last thing they ever added that you could reasonably be "overwhelmed" by, there has been no content they have added since then that could take you more than a week to complete. The problem isn't staggering content or long patch cycles, it's the fact that the patches don't have content that'll last long enough to fill those gaps inbetween them. If every patch since endwalker dropped all it's content on patch day it'd take you 2 weeks or so to get through the entire patch's worth of content, maybe a month if your savage runs go badly. This game needs grindy or another form of long lasting content badly.

Maybe I am exaggerating but I'm kind of tired of savage being the only thing to do in this game. Also yes I did unsub I'm posting thanks to the free login campaign.

It doesnt. It just forces you to sub longer. And then you see people calling others to just 'quit'.

From having anxiety to use X job/role/skill/mount/emote/log in etc to "don't release too much content because my anxiety issues won't let me do anything" And the sad part it seems SE only listen to them.

Honestly, there are good reasons why content should be spaced out that are not "increases subscription time" - it helps fight choice paralysis, for example, or funnels a greater number of players in a singular direction, which means content is more populated, which also reduces queue times. The problem is not the spacing out of the content itself, its the amount of shelf life / play time the content has, the cadence of updates, and the variety of content offered.

When CS3 frontloads "one and done" kinda of content in an expansion, and plans to release longer shelf life content further back then of course people will feel like there is nothing to do. Releasing everything at once would bring different kinda issues really.

It wouldnt be an issue if the content would last, but it isn't.
I dont see any reason delaying 10min-worthy quests to a later date. It gives an unpolished impression.

Sure they can stagger it but one week per mini patch is enough, the months of wait for simple stuff is just insane and really kills lots of fun >_>
