Sorry you're right. It was Vel that said it which was quoting you. I had to go back to the quote, which was from him and not you.We never said this was the extent to the fight lol. Garuda still requires the highest amount of performance and execution in any fight we've had so far in FFXIV. It's not a push over and a lot of people won't be clearing it anytime soon. No its not AV. No it's not Yogg 0 Lights. It is the hardest fight we've had in the game so far overall because Ifrit's bullshit server/animation lock is not fresh and it doesn't really affect you in this fight.
I'm sure you think WoW or some other game that you happened to play and thought you were good at had all the "real challenge", but I know in XI very few endgame shells ever got 30 shots+ at HNM before they could down it. Not that the current offerings are probably the most challenging endgame content ever presented in an MMO (alliance content is nearly always more complex/tougher imo), but for single party content to say it is at the "bottom of the barrel" is pretty far off base.Lol wth? Is this WoW where gear is needed to determine a successful win? Nope.
I've been supporting BG with all these people whining about class stacking. The content isn't hard, simple as that. No, I haven't had the chance to even do the 40 version of Garuda. I'm not saying that skill isn't involved, just in comparison to fights that many others have experienced not just in FF, but other games. This is at the bottom of the barrel. The fight is more about the concept rather then actual hard mechanics to overcome. As BG said themselves, it's really just about hiding behind the rocks and dealing with the adds. How is that hard?
Plus it makes you sound like a total dick in front of everyone who has tried it and not won so easily, and a fool when you finally do "get around to it" and fall on your face/or are simply carried by others who actually put in the time to learn the fight when it was progression.

That not the point. After people post strategies etc, it's not the same as being first..
After seeing how Garuda plays, yes. It's a dps fight. Different from ifrit. Similar to moogle. So stacked gear makes a difference. I saw triple melded giving 300 dmg more with spells then a single materia ppl. For these kind of fights, makes a lot of difference. Everyone who did even the easy Garuda saw it was most a dps fight.Lol wth? Is this WoW where gear is needed to determine a successful win? Nope.

Not everyone reads or copies strategies that random people of no association to them posted. There was a time before youtube/livestream etc. where people posted maybe at most a screenshot of a kill, and almost everyone had to figure out a fight for themselves. Some of us still play like that, for many people at endgame the whole fun in endgame is endgame progression (however limited that is at the moment), and so not getting a kill in the first 7 hours doesn't really defeat the purpose of "trying for yourself".
Until we get protracted endgame content, very few people are going to get a chance to be "world first". There are those in the endgame community who can't play 12-18 hours in a sitting in the middle of the week, who still care about progression and developing strategies etc.

Removed due to size restrictions and possible seizures risks.
Lol. I know. I was saying to that dude over there that said the fight is easy, that after people tip setups and post videos, makes it easier to kill it. My point being, being first is hard. That figtht isn't easy like he says. He was saying SE don't do hard content, which it just did, and he keeps saying its easy. Can't argue with a guy like that.
