but i want a pretty human race where i can make a supermodel bombshell unlike whatever they did to midlander and highlander. they never quite fit that bill anyway. everyone got their furries cuz they all riot and drown out literally any other voice... so ahow about us that got silenced for years? can we have a turn now?

Yes. It's confusing that their posterboy race has no truly good options. Also because anime is such a big thing in Japan.
But with the Hyur race it's not slightly possible to go in that handsome pretty or model direction. Hyr still is laking compared to the others. Especially the male ones.

I'd prefer if they just make it so all race has access to all hats first. Also I'd prefer they don't add race since it just look weird in lore how certain race don't appear at all in lore for like more than half the game content. It sometime create funny situation like in SHB where the Fem Vierra tell you in a side quest that they want to show you how a Male Vierra look like since...Even if you play as one.

I am fine with new races, as long as it isn't another race clearly being added just for another "make a sexy female character in a skimpy outfit" excuse. I literally am surprised when I join a dungeon and there is even 1 party member not me who is not a cat girl, bunny girl, or dragon girl, or some flavor of human girl.

honestly im just super duper disappointed that they made my super gorgeous midlander face 1 look like a 12 year old girl instead of a 25ish year old lady. completely destroyed face 1 , and gave all the attention to face 5 the generic anime face, because weebs made it the most popular face. its an outrage , it forced me to fantasia into a male character. now i wont be buying mogstation outfits or emotes cuz why wwaste them on a derplander male. smh

I feel like there should be no races added until Hrothgar and Viera get finished with all Hairstyles and Hats. But after sure, let them add as many races as they want, this is a Final Fantasy theme park, so I don't see a problem with adding all the races in the franchise if that is what the devs want. (More than probably never going to happen won't even entertain the thought XD)

But If I were to choose a race, I think I would go with one that is so underappreciated in the genre that I know only of 2 MMOs who actually added this race, even though it is a D&D staple and a marvellous myth! Something that might attract a lot of people in terms of popularity. A Mermaid race! I have never played an MMO who had this option as a playable race so it would be very interesting to have it.

BTW if anyone knows an MMO that does have Mermaids as a playable option, let me know, I would love to give it a shot!

Sorry that you're having to read yet another thread about it. Someone has to say it though. The community needs to show restraint if Yoshi P is going to just hand them the reins here.

Viera and Hrothgar still can't wear the vast majority of hats, and every new race that gets added is going to add more for SE to keep up with.

You think the devs would get the hint or get real mad if cosplayers cosplaying as viera or hrothgars would do a bit where they go on stage accompanied by one or more people in completely black skin suits; then the cosplayer goes to put on a hat and the stagehand would take it and hide it while the cosplayer is acting like the hat is on. They they go to take it off and are handed it by the stagehand?

Almost feels like they lost the model designer for the playable races by the time they added Viera and Hroth seeing their stupid hair issues.

I still think they should add Moogles. And Moogle should be able to display hats and weapons only. This would be the perfect compliment to Hrothgar and Vieira, who can display gear but no hats.
