No, male miqos are still alot taller than female au ra and their shoulders are so broad. We need males with the same slim/slender body's.

Seems like a waste of a new race to make it marginally different than the current races.

Sorry that you're having to read yet another thread about it. Someone has to say it though. The community needs to show restraint if Yoshi P is going to just hand them the reins here.

Viera and Hrothgar still can't wear the vast majority of hats, and every new race that gets added is going to add more for SE to keep up with.

I'm happy they're giving us female hroths, rounding out the races we have, but it's completely impractical to keep expanding the list of playable races eternally. It will come at a cost to every existing race as quality eventually starts to drop. Let's be happy and appreciate the races that we have currently.

We need community pushback against this. New races are like new jobs. They'd be a huge announcement for a new expansion, and someone at SE is aware of this. Even after Dawntrail they are likely going to look for community support for new races because these races are marketable regardless of the workload they might create for the devs. Please be reasonable and deny them that support for it, let them focus on other content and additions.

I agree we need genomes as a race. We need a medium/short race like female au ra for males.

I was thinking about this. As unlikely as it is to see square add them a potential male Gria would actually be a really great way to add a medium/short male. Gria being an actual dragon race from Ivalice, short like au ra too but mind you we've never seen a male Gria yet but with how similar female au ra are to female Gria and with how dimorphism is handled with Ivalice races its more likely a male Gria would be around the same height as female au ra/Gria and wouldn't be a repeat of male/female au ra.

I support this a lot. We don't need new halfbaked races anymore.
What we really need is better options for the existing races.
And a rework of existing stuff like poses, emotes and voices.

For example:

The emotes and poses for male midlanders often look stiff or weird compared to the other races, and they have no good voice options.
Most voices sound like it's 2 or more different people in one. There isn't even one voice that fits for face two.
Funfact, voice 12 would be a fitting battlevoice for face two. It's a higher bright youthfull battlevoice. But when it
comes to emotes it's suddenly completly different, and sometimes more like a man in his fourties with a deep voice. (for example the emote 'no')
And when the muscleslider is set to slim they lose their belly button. xD
It's the only subrace with that problem. I reported this here in the bug section but it was moved to 'works as intended'. :/

Most races have such a list of problems!

All races should be able to participate the same when it comes to glamour and stuff. We all know about the big hat issues.
Au'Ra need options that females can be more tough and males need options to not just be a huge bodybuilder edgelord.
Elezen have still very broken necks and the females have unpleasantly noticeable wide shoulders, so that a lot of glamour looks wrong on them.
I played female Elezen for a while, but the shoulders were the reason what killed it for me in the long run. (more bodytypes would be the solution)
The liptexture of the younger male Elezen face is worse than before, in my personal opinion. It doesn't look authentic somehow.
We all know the frustration about genderlocked gear. This should just not exist the way it is now.
We need more bodytypes in general. And better colors.

There is much much more. I really hope they spend time with fixing problems, instead of making new races.
I personally wonder why male midlander Hyuran got such bad treatment (e.g. emotes, poses, voices, hair, that glam that looks different on every race) in general,
regarding to that their posterboy WoL is one.

but i want a pretty human race where i can make a supermodel bombshell unlike whatever they did to midlander and highlander. they never quite fit that bill anyway. everyone got their furries cuz they all riot and drown out literally any other voice... so ahow about us that got silenced for years? can we have a turn now?
