You also have to do this every single time if you want to do cross-server parties/content such as treasure maps instead of it just phasing everyone in the leaders server automatically and seamlessly.

I don't need to focus on my 1 button healer dps rotation in a rolo and would rather have the normal functionality of being able to keep a whisper convo going instead of having to pick between that or doing a duty.

Which healer class has such braindead rotation or can rely on one spell, that you’d have time to reply to a friend’s /tell in the middle of an Extreme prog? I’m genuinely curious, because I can’t imagine replying to someone mid-fight even in many of the lower-end dungeons without consequences (unless you put enormous amount of shields on your whole party just to reply).

It's 2025, and I still just want a modern day MMO friends list with the usual, completely normal features to be implemented.

Surely, if I remove somebody from my friends list, it's completely logical to expect me to be removed from the other players too?

Completely baffles me why this isn't a thing. I absolutely don't buy the years old excuse that JP players were afraid of scenarios where an unfriended player asks them why they're no longer friends.

The server swap thing is not as simple as "well WoW does it, so can we!!!" I don't think the game would like trying to deal with moving characters the whole way to another DC and then trying to plop them in an area that could be already overcrowded.
Glamour dresser though I wish they just give everyone with a house (personal or FC) a "bedroom" with a bed, glamour dresser, and the other stuff that's in the inn rooms.

True, after all Sqenix is a small indie company and its impossible for them to do what a more succesful MMO does on a technical side. Or what any other MMO does for that matter.
