What do you think is going to happen once people understand that if a game looks doomed, they can just stop trying and make the game end faster since they won't get any xp? Even the best pvpers will do this, it's not even a matter of skill.

Two questions:
1. Doesn't this already happen?
2. Does it really matter?
Being 1st place should provide two points towards the winning achievement, and being 2nd one. The rest of the rewards are good enough.
Asking for zero rewards for 2nd or 3rd is just going to make it miserable. A 24v24v24 PvP mode like this is already rife with random elements, and incentivizing being 1st only when the chance is, in theory, 33% is not going to have a positive effect. It's just the nature of the game, unfortunately. And players being AFK or not caring won't change.

I'd go an even crazier route:
*1st,2nd, and 3rd should all have same exp rewards. winning on casual matches should only matter for the achievements/titles and not for pvp/series exp. Most if not all just want to get to series rank 25 for the rewards and either move on or get job exp.
*Eliminate party queue for frontlines/rival wings to prevent premades (dont really have a problem with premades but since a lot of people seem to bring this up)
*Add npc/bots to fill the slow queues (if queue doesnt pop after set amount of time: fill with bots) and then sort the teams so they each have equal number of players + bots.
*Add a series token similar to how you can turn crystal trophies into wolf collars. Have an additional currency work like the mount token (orange scrips) or the gemstone vouchers. for x amount of crystal trophies or wolf collars, buy 1 series token and have a npc selling you all the previous series rewards for a set amount of this new series token.
Doubtful. As making 2nd and 3rd have no rewards would reflect poorly on frontlines data if there was no incentive. Like when they are showing data about player interest for corporate matters in meetings and pvp is one of them.
In chocobo racing one random birb gets some extra exp with rng roulette. Bring that to frontlines! One gc no matter the performance gets the extra by rng.
Forcing people into ranked for the battlepass is a bad idea IMO. I still think them taking away the 8x8x8 was a bad idea. I preferred that over the 24x24x24 even back then, and would prefer it even more now.I'd go an even crazier route:

My post wasn't about "bad" players. Being inexperienced and still learning is a lot different from the behaviors I mentioned. I was specifically talking about people who are feeding, i.e. deliberately running into the enemy team to get killed, which feeds the enemy points and battle high. This kind of behavior is prohibited by the ToS. The "lethargic behavior" means people who are functionally afk. They aren't really afk, because afking in Frontline has much shorter time to kick in than in other duties, and afk people get autokicked. What these people are doing, is circumventing the autokick system by moving from time to time. Some of them are just standing in spawn, these are the more obvious ones. I have also seen some people trying to hide in some more remote locations that aren't especially obvious, like the elevated node spawns. I have also seen people hanging out with enemies, just picnicking. The more advanced people follow the main group, but always stay back. I had a gunbreaker in my group recently, who was so passive, that they didn't even bother attacking the crystal, which is a stationary PvE target. There is a scoreboard at the end, showing everyone's kill / deaths / assists, as well as the damage and healing they did, and some will end a 12 minute game with 0 damage. No hyperbole, literally 0 damage. My screenshot folder is full of them because I report every single instance.
Again, all of this behavior is already against the ToS, and should be sanctioned with strikes and bans. However, as annoying as all these ToS-breakers are, they are trumped by the enablers who protect this kind of behavior. I have seen groups not kick people who have been offline since the start of the game (frankly, the game should autokick everyone incl. penalty when they aren't reconnected within 1 minute). I have seen people viscerally defend others who were blatantly afking in spawn. "Shut up and just play", while there is someone afking, literally not playing at all. Whatever toxicity you think you will get from the "tryhards" in PvP, it's absolutely dwarfed by the vitriol spewed by the not-even-botherers. And frankly, this kind of communication should also count as ToS violation, which SE should explicitly listing it as examples of nuisance behavior. The same is true for all the "this is just casual frontline", "lol play ranked if you want serious pvp" comments. If someone doesn't even have the basic motivation to participate in a PvP mode after actively queuing for a PvP mode (no one ends in PvP by accident, can't even get it in mentor roulette), they should at least keep their demotivation to themselves.
They could have 2nd and 3rd place only recieve PvP rewards (battle pass xp and wolf marks) while PvE exp and tomes are an additional reward only given to 1st place.
Isn't solution pretty simple?
Every season reward only obtainable after number of wins like old time.
For example, every season tier requires 500 wins for mount, 400 win 300 wins for outfit, 200 wins for emote, 100 wins for minion
I can guarantee you people would die hard for winning
When people want to win they will also make 4 men party in which would solve problem of softies complain about premade: there are going to be a lot of premades
One stone for 2 birds
