That doesn’t mean that “oh people will always consume content faster than can be made so the answer is to make no content at all” is a valid answer to this problemIt’s literally impossible to produce mainstream content at a rate that keeps pace with the players devouring it.
Well, at least content that still adheres to some sort of quality standards and has no cheesy roadblocks in place, like WoW TBC Brutallus that was nothing but a numbers and gear check and prolonged the patch in an artificial way. But that wouldn’t even work here because the gearing is way faster and easier and the “raids” work differently.
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
I would say nobody is asking them to have that constant production in mind, as yes it is not feasible. It’s literally impossible to produce mainstream content at a rate that keeps pace with the players devouring it.

But they do not even put in any modicum of effort towards giving the players something to actually devour. It's like "Here's your 1-time snack, you can get another one in 13 months time.". People are not asking for a constant meal by any stretch of the imagination.
I mean, there’s probably some ultra rare mount or minion or something out there that only 1% of the playerbase has or something, so I guess nobody can ever claim there’s no content left ever again lol (sarcasm).
I just don’t understand responding to ‘there’s no content I want to do’ with ‘but what about all that content you don’t want to do’. Like, if they wanted to do that content they’d surely be in the game doing it and not on the forums complaining about having nothing to do lol
If your argument to that claim is that not many people engage to a completionist degree in FFXIVs most awful content....
I'd rather uninstall the game than going and relying on daytimes and weathers to line up to spin RNG wheels of fishing.
Content I have no desire engaging in and gets me nowhere except wasting hours of my lifetime while bringing me no entertainment.
I didn't mind it. Ironically, I'd rather have Eureka 2.0 instead of Bozja 2.0. But my major issue with them is just how overly convaluted and contrived they feel as systems.Meanwhile I am having a blast in Eureka and enjoying the community there. I felt no sense of accomplishment or me,or able journey just buying Tombstone Weapon #2. In fact I just destroyed nearly all of mine as I have no attachment to them whatsoever, as I would any other piece of random gear I no longer need.
EW relics were just lazy and disappointing.
It's just too much all at once.
When it comes to relics, I'm fine with doing them as is. Once they are done and you got 50 steps to get it done, it becomes tiresome all for a skin.
Warframe: 1999 just came out and Path of Exile 2 is in early access. If anything, I have too much to do.
"Man, I'm bored sitting around my house, there's nothing to do..."
"Oh really? Have you cleaned every speck of dust off of your bookshelf yet? Better get your tweezers!"
YAWN.
