Why do casual players seem entitled to cosmetic items added in game?

It’s honestly weird to me how vehemently people insist that the ‘pretty princess flower girl’ hairstyle must - by necessity - be exclusively within the remit of hardcore players.

It's this. Interaction between players *and the various ways of playing the game*. I have price arrangements with FCs and players for stuff I craft and gather, I pay people to gather materials I am short on, and it's almost like a well-oiled machine or company. The hairstyle really isn't something to throw a tantrum about, as there are multiple ways to get it, it's just not a free handout. This actually gives players of all playstyles to interact and work together.

You either work to make money directly or you work to complete content that rewards you with stuff you sell so you can buy stuff from content you don’t want to do. Player power is strongly tied to money and your ability to earn it. The only place this somewhat expresses itself is eureka as having a lot of money allows you to buy the pagos and 7th magia items which confer power. You can either earn them inside eureka or buy them outside to improve your power

If you don’t want to do CAR (fair) but want the hairstyle do something you do enjoy to make money to buy the hairstyle while if you enjoy CAR but don’t want the hairstyle you can sell it and make money to put towards a different endeavour

Why even have a player economy if everyone gets everything they want by only doing what they want
