Chaotic Alliance Raid is the best content this game has ever had

I've cleared 46 times now, most of them in a pseudo-static and sadly the raid leader got everything and stopped running it. What's the point? The content simply isn't that fun to do when you're wiping over and over. I need 19 more clears, I thought I wanted to learn other positions/strats, but I genuinely want to get this done before guides ruin PF, I genuinely don't want to reprog this fight. I want to get my shit and get out. I'm familiar enough to actually do call outs and teach it but the fight is genuinely exhausting.

I personally didn't clear this raid tier, alot of farm groups are 730 and I can't meet that ilvl, perhaps when you gate people who didn't do the current tier you might get a better pool, but that's not the PF experience for smth in the range of ilv725+. You'd be on some copium to think that PF that gatekeeps through ilvl alone is the same as something else. If it is for you, then it's not the case in my experience on Light/EU.

Can you clear in PF? Sure.
Can you farm in PF? Maybe.

My experience? It's just towers prog. People seemingly don't know how to do towers after swap and it's just a fiesta after.

I think this brings the worst in people, I've seen lovely PFs with descriptions like 'don't join if you're not mentally developed' and people asking for 5+ clears (which tbh fair) but sweaty checking logs and kicking people who don't have enough clears. I don't blame them because funny enough the later was farming. At least it felt like someone respected 23 other people's time even though it wasn't nice.

There's potential in Chaotic, the fight is fun when you actually are farming it, it's not hard. I wouldn't say it's as fast as sphene or any savage I did. The body check and how deaths can snowball is what makes it hard, it's unforgiving at certain points.

If only people knew how to make their debuffs BIGGER to where they can see it and maybe while at it make the boss's castbar to 180% or something and slap it in the middle of the screen...refresh after every mechanic.

I don't even want to help people clear anymore cause there's people who join to prog and grief in those parties. It's frustrating. I love helping, but I also don't love suffering for 2+ hours and no clear.

Agree other than that it "brings out the worst in people," this is how raiders typically behave, I guess a lot more people who aren't typically involved with raiding are being exposed to it. Overall I wouldn't say raiding is anymore toxic now than before Chaotic existed.

I've never seen people behave like this outwardly in PF or even in alliance chat. I've raided for awhile and I've done two tiers in PF, people never were like this, if anything toxicity came from statics and on discord and never seen ingame. I won't say anything about ultimates in PF though...perhaps things changed since Abyssos.

I've never seen these kinds of PF descriptions before, I think it creates such a hostile environment where everyone is surviellance camera mode on each other. I think this is such a bad environment to be in, imo. Even if you're farming, the stress of being yelled at/kicked etc might make someone mess up more, I know I used to before I became dead inside essentially. I still feel really bad when I mess up or make mistakes.

I don't think all raiders behave like this. The raid leader whom I joined their pseudo-static for chaotic was really chill and capable and reliable. He never tilted, was patient and calm. I honestly wish I could be like this but I get discouraged quickly personally.

It honestly makes me sad to see things like that but I also understand why people resort to essentially being assholes, I don't agree with it or think it's right but sometimes it's just what works.

This raid is bad simply because it did my boy Diabolos dirty and wasted his cosplay outfit on a role-locked gear set that comes too late to matter when it should have been saved for a level 1 all-job set rewarded from Diabolos Hollow (Chaotic)

people are literally playing 1 strat in EU pf, there isnt much to learn. Its "wfj" and nothing else and your static most likely used it anyway. I also dont think that ilvl 730 is required. There are 30+ pf at prime time with 3/4 of them being ilvl 710-725.
Most people already reached the point that they cleared 10+ times in pf, so runs are usually smooth in farm partys. Sometimes theres a mess up but I didnt need more than 2 or 3 pulls in a farmgroup to get another reclear. Some groups simply 1 shotted it 5 in 5 times because it becomes that easy with a little bit of routine

The run where I got my clear was seemingly a mixed run of farmers and people that were after a clear together and it went relatively smooth. Not sure if I lucked out or not (probably), but everyone still go a lot of tokens as a result (twenty-ish). I wonder if that's not the best balance to reach instead of inflicting 70+ runs upon oneself...

Well, I have 70 clears now and I only managed to get back to back clears in 730 PF.

Having spent 10hrs in PF yesterday with 2 measly clears, and today my friend decided she had enough and it was time to gatekeep and be strict because many people at accessible ilvls come to grief, either on alt jobs, alt positions, diff allis etc.... and I got 23 clears in it. Good luck getting a PF that remains consistent and clears for around 23 clears despite people leaving rejoining.

Feels like you got lucky, 5 clears back to back isn't the norm in PF.

Even I tried being on alli A for a friend after being C's R2 since the 24th and I was disoriented/making mistakes and it made me think I should just commit to one position in one alliance. Now that I got everything, I could rest, maybe help people out. I'm not the best but I'm consistent mechanically (except occasional fuck up), and I can semi-call stuff out in chat (tho it's not fun).

Discord isn't really required, but eyes and braincell and some hands is. In the end, the fight is really fun when it's going well, not so much if you join a KFF and it turns into wipe city.

Having done savage and extreme...I don't think this is savage level...it feels alot slower in some mechanics (third arts) and it threw me off cause everyone was saying it's savage but it was slower than current ex imo....

I really feel for people who want to farm this, maybe it'll get better with time and I'm inhaling doomium, but I think it'll get worse with time...I'd like to be proven wrong though! Because if it gets easier, I can imagine myself joining/helping people.

The design is to encourage helpers to help new players instead of just going into farm parties.

However, it may miss the mark slightly. Personally I feel no reason to rush so after the first clear I've just been joining other clear parties for more practice and to also help others through it.

I really do enjoy this content and cant wait for other raids like weeping city,rabanastre and algaia to to some similar treatment but it does need some weekly quest imo similar to Delubrum
even if it just gave 6 extra of each materia would be nice give people an incentive to go back weekly and not feel pressured farming it so much.

I agree with everything you've stated here.

However, despite me being an ultimate raider, I cannot for the life of me clear in PF. Idk if people are straight up griefing joining on classes they aren't comfortable on or in alliances they aren't comfortable being in. It's been nothing but frustration for me trying to get a clear. I've seen enrage at least 10 plus times now and the groups I'm in break right after the enrage pull. As much as I think the raid is easy, I personally believe it's to hard for PF as a whole.

I've honestly decided to throw my hands up in defeat and walk away from chaotic, the time and frustration imo isn't worth the effort for a clear. I'd rather put my time and energy into FRU and DSR.
