The decorations for Starlight are soo cute this year

I don't know which devs do the decorating for each seasonal event but I'm so giddy looking at all the cute details they put into them. The snowmen by the CUL guild have strawberries. There's a whole circle of tophat snowmen giving gifts to another in Ul'dah. The snowmen doing snowball fights in Gridania... it's such a small thing but it makes me happy lol

These are the little details they put a lot of effort into that people on these forums don't appreciate when they use buzzwords like "lazy" to skate over all the work that went into environments, weathers, models, textures, and animations.

I notice those details too and I would love to have those for my home too, I want many different types of snowmen and trees decorated a different way :3

The Ul'dah snowmen is actually a cute little story that starts from the two snowflake-lit ones outside the Goldsmith's guild. If you follow them all the way along it's a whole little Christmas-themed storyline. Very cool detail.

I agree, and thank you for this thread! I just ran all over Gridania looking for the snowball fight, and now I'm off to Uldah.

My favorite detail from this year's event was exploring the Starlight Stalls and running into a little friend who I last saw wandering the world. IYKYK.

To be fair, it's hard to appreciate the tiny details when the bulk of the game is vapid slop.

Yeah, I've noticed it alot more this year when running around on main, or alt.

It's made me notice the decorations in other areas I hardly notice like in the Wolves Den, As I outfit my Rothgal.
