More Chaotic Raids sure I would like that.
Not in this form though.
Body checks with 24 people, while swapping the parties around, a horrible rezzing system in tiles phase and a just straight up not thought out through reward system just makes this the absolute worst PF experience I ever had in this game.
It also leads to elitism like this here...
The next chaotic raid should either be the difficulty they originally planned and Ozma failed to follow through OR there should be other content available next to it so one side of the playerbase doesn't starve to death....that they can't have healers and red mages do their mechanics for them and carry their dead bodies through the finish line.
The raid is great but not planned correctly and absolutely not what this game needed right now.
You even say that it is more than Ex because of the 24 people progging it and even the devs said that it is savage difficulty. It was sold exactly as what it is. A 24man boss raid, with extreme level difficulty. The overall mechanics are easy to the fight and things we have all been introduced to in even normal raids. The layer of having to pvp 24 people ups the anti but the reclears are alot more consistent and clean.
It is absolutely lower savage territory with so many players and body checks alone.
Savage is also easy in reclear parties but that doesn't change them to Ex difficulty suddenly.

It's not farmable though. That's the issue.
You either need to get lucky with PF, be someone who's popular enough to have 23 other people at your beck and call, or use Discord to plan out times to run. It runs into the same issue people have who have the ability to do Savage but don't: it's not content you can just queue whenever you want. And considering most people have nothing else to do this patch... Yeah it was a bit tone-deaf.
I think the *idea* is good. I don't want them to stop making them, but I really think they need to go back and retool what they want these to be. Retool Criterion while you're at it.
(Also as an aside I would love if they just released Cid the Thunder God as one but do nothing to it except make it as hard as it was before they nerfed it. I miss that lol)

I'd much rather have Diadem Emergency Missions back.
You mean like streamers who show the content on Twitch and tell everyone how fabulous FF14 is? Hmmm. It's not farmable though. That's the issue.

I didn't quite mean that with my response.
There's definitely a rift between people who are "popular" in the game (you don't even have to be a streamer) or play in large FCs and people who just play with some friends or even solo. People like that can always ask someone if they want to do content.
There are discord servers that help with that slightly (especially achievement hunter discords) but even then sometimes people don't want to do what you want and the content is too dead. That's the issue with the way this content is atm, is that once the people get what they want, it's going to be harder and harder to find people even willing to grind it out, let alone run it once.
Dang, almost like the playerbase isn't some homogenic monolith and features humans from all walks of life with different values and preferences.Based on several already existing threads on this same forum, it also manages to simultaneously be the most tonedeaf and worst content this game has ever had, so this OP post sounds a lot like a deliberately vague flamebait soundbite by someone who just likes to rile people up. If CAR is really the best thing since ever, at least argue your case for why you think so in more than two lines so that the conversation won't immediately derail?
Based on the already existing threads on this same forum, Shatter is also the worst PvP map to ever have existed in the history of PvP maps. And all these opinions are just that, worthless opinions, because Shatter is the best map currently in the game. However, the general player level simply does not allow for the matches to actually reach the potential they could have, so matches become an absolute pain, even when winning. The same is true for this chaotic raid. It's hard content, it requires a high skill level with regards to consistently solve mechanics (95% and up, not the 75% many people even in savage raids think are okay). Of course the experience will be miserable for everyone involved if the community features lots of people who are okay with making the experience miserable for everyone else.
Can you explain to me how Shatter being the best map in the game is objectively true, rather than simply being your opinion. I ask partly because it's an opinion rejected by the majority of FL players. I understand that you think they (and nearly everyone else who plays the game) is a complete idiot and/or suffering from video game addiction, but at some level a gaming company does need to cater to its customers, however dumb you think they are.Dang, almost like the playerbase isn't some homogenic monolith and features humans from all walks of life with different values and preferences.

Can't, you have me on ignore, remember? After the last time you embarrassed yourself in the PvP forums with your "rEsIsTaNcE" shtick and defending people who throw the game because another group had premades. Oh, that's right, you switched your tune recently, because all the anti-premade rhetoric didn't get you enough validation and updoots. Can you explain to me how Shatter being the best map in the game is objectively true, rather than simply being your opinion. I mean, next time you are there (if you actually now queue for it, last time I remember you avoid it, so why do you even care if the map is good or not?), you could listen to the commanders present. Maybe even the one with the strategic callouts, with stuff like "ambush yellow by going over the bridge and cutting off their reinforcements". You know, all the stuff you admit you never do, because you actively ignore anyone doing any callout.
