Turned my account off today. I really loved this game. The only thing that is totally impossible to get is a house. I have wasted so much time on this game trying to get a house. Why not transfer to one of the new worlds on the Dynamis DC (its free) and bid on one of the many plots still available?

It won't cost you any money and right now there is still many large plots with 0 bids (bidding just ended, too), not to mention thousands of mediums.

I dunno why they are so against this idea, I understand not wanting to move their mains but they could do what I did and create an alt if they don't have one already and have them buy a home on one of the new worlds on Dynamis that still has mansion plots.


While they fight over for a small with dozens of bids on their crowded worlds, I will enjoy my cup of tea on my spacious front yard at my dream Shiro mansion in Seraph when I did what you suggested two years ago when Seraph first went live. It's better to have a home than none and makes trying to get a home for your main much less stressful as happened to me when my og main Rinoa finally won her own personal mansion in Exodus after trying for 7 years this past June :3

As much as people love to throw it around, 'just move lul' is not an ideal solution.

Aside from leaving/dissolving your FC (which is bad enough, but I suppose you already caught that by saying not to move your main), Dynamis:

Continues to be cut off from Aether DC, with no re-enabling of travel on the horizon.
Has abysmal queues for everything other than healers.
Has an embarrassingly dead PF, even on peak hours. One or two for MSQ help, one or two for FATE or map trains, and the rest are RP and venue garbage that I can count on one hand.
Has overpriced everything on the market board.
Is full of dead open world zones and dead cities.

Even on Seraph, the most populated server of the DC, it's bad. I don't want to imagine how it is on something like Kraken.

I do not recommend any Aether player to transfer to Seraph for a house, nor do I recommend wasting your time by leveling an alt here. Your quality of gameplay will freefall, and I don't expect it to change so long as SE thinks the best solution is to just cut us off from Aether.

I understand where you're coming from, I was frustrated for years trying to get a mansion for my og main before I sent my main alt to Seraph. It greatly reduced my stress once I was able to start enjoying housing on my alt and made the year and a half longer wait for my og main to win her own plot in Exodus much more bearable and far less stressful. There is nothing to lose creating an alt on Dynamis new worlds since once you reach level 30, you get one million Gil and also 15 days free of subscription added to your current sub (can only be done once). With the road to 90 bonus, it's really quick to level up and you can even go to Crystal or Primal to do dungeons and trials and still have the bonus.

This was a rather unhinged read. She's not telling you that transferring is the perfect solution and that nothing needs to change, she's telling you that it could be *your* solution if you want a house badly enough *now* because nothing is about to change any time soon and this is the only real option given the current circumstances. Many of us who really need housing in our lives have taken the plunge, you don't have to give everything up. Communicate with your FC and tell them what you're doing. Cross-DC travel lets you keep your ties with anyone, and if you really wanted to keep your FC membership status in-game you can roll up on an alt to purchase and decorate the house and travel over to it if you prefer to keep your main where it is. It would certainly provide you with a better outcome than drafting angry pre-combat anime speeches at people who are trying to offer help.

I did actually. I also get back to Aether to do my raiding, PvP, etc. I guess I'm one of the rare ones who gets my cake and eats it too.
