10 then 20 days suspension....?

Was doing my regular 5x character grind; NOT talking to anyone cause quest grinding do not have time to talk. During the summer event on the last day; 10 day suspension outta nowhere.....wtf? Was not even talking to anyone....ok so Now I do NOT use the chat at ALL to prevent this from happening....

about 30 days later. grinding PVP CC + MGP GATE events for PVP series 6 rewards and moogle event rewards; again PVP CANNOT TALK + MGP GATES; when am I talking when I am using my keyboard to do the GATES? ....20 suspension....

If you live in a GDPR (or similar) applicable country you could try requesting all the data they have on you, that might include concrete reasons for suspensions.
If you have no legal way to force them to disclose things you're unlikely to ever get concrete reasons, as is pretty typical with these affairs.


Possible things that might have been actioned even when not actively using chat include search/adventurer plate comments, PF listings, character names, portraits (no really, though you'd have to put effort into that and would likely know exactly what did it) and gameplay (and that there is a right can of worms).

Not all issues or reportable offenses come in the form of direct and clear communication/language, e.g., emote or auto translate spamming can still fall under this. Also, the profanity filter does not, nor should it preclude or validate the use of profanities. People shouldn't really need to jump through xyz hoops just because some people feel the need to try and validate or normalize inappropriate behavior. This is how your opening paragraph comes across to me.

It is very very rare you would get banned for no actual reason at all. Most especially in the circumstance where a dispute has resulted in no change in penalty, and when the penalty ultimately results in a 10/20-d suspension

Also, if you need any specific information on the ban you would more than likely need to submit what is referred to as a DSAR request, in more often than not cases they are required to provide the information if it relates to you. My guess is GMs just don't have the remit to disclose that information regardless of how much prying is done.

It is pointless to ask for a list of what language you can and cannot use. Yes, the examples listed in the 'prohibited behavior' are not necessarily the clearest, but if you're specific you then run the issue that people will just try to evade by skirting around it, as opposed to trying to take the 'spirit' of it. They'd be there for days giving people a list of what constitutes prohibited behavior/language. The best you can do is read the appropriate guidelines, and be more concerned with the 'spirit' of the message than the examples themselves.

Yeah I know! That why after the 10 day suspensions I STOPPED USING CHAT.....30 days or so later.....20 day suspension! So, I asked for months now trying to figure out WHAT category was the "harassment" communication falls under? NO response. Sent them my ENTIRE player, housing, /em macro messages for approve for over a month now over 5x different emails. "We cannot help yah their" basically was the response.

In PVP if a troll harass you about how you play using chat; they in trouble....

I agree.

He was doing probably pvp, and became a toxic waste to the point ppl got annoyed and reported him. However, instead of taking the hint and being a decent human being after the 10 days of time out he resumed and made up for lost time in PVP again. And now he is playing the victim in the forums..

I knew some people who had the exact time-out cycle and what I have seen them say in chat was top-tier unhinged nuclear waste.
